Guys i have just re-watched both of our Korean games and i didn't like it. We looks tactically totally clueless, specially in our away game. I just don't want to imagine what will happen with TM if they perform like they did in Korea. We could have lost that game 4-1 or 5-1! I hate it to say but i really don't think that SKO is the right man in charge for the task a head.

The psychological/confidence factor is a huge factor in all sports (especially soccer); if you ever watch Mexico play in the last 20-30 years at WCs, they generally don't give a hoot about who their opponent is when they take the pitch (even when they are great underdogs); they go into their matches with such swagger and hunger and positive body language, which is part of the reason they have had success to get to the knockout stages of the WC. It's something Iranian players have to learn (i.e. have the same confidence factor/body language/outlook when you play European teams as you do when you play against a Syria or Lebanon). At the end of the day, the English will have the same number of legs kicking the ball on the pitch as you do (don't make them be more than what they are)

Even with missing 5 starters the way we approached the game in Seol is not acceptable. I think a TM without 5 starters is at least on par with Iraqi Team and they managed to get a draw. Korea v Lebanon f.e. ended in 2-1.

But beside that i think our first half against Korea in Azadi, where we had our full squad, was inacceptable too. The chances that we had created Taremi&Ezzi was more an individual effort than Team-play tactics. In both games against Korea we had parked the bus and gave them the ball most of the time.

In the end of the day i am just a TM-Fan and want the best outcome for us. I hope that i am wrong and SKo is the right guy, but i am not convinced to be honest.

Right, thats great, we take it easy as england flopped in 2014. Looks like skocic is of the same opinion, as he says Croatia defeated england so so will iran. I am so content now 😁
