Don't get too cocky, these guys have far more means than us. We have nothing to lose, they do.

Which tm is 1 to 9 underdog
Tm will get maximum 2 to 3 scoring chance maybe
Question is can tm make it happen in that 3 scoring opportunity.. upsets happen will taking advantage of the very few opportunities you get plus the goalie will become hot .
We might not even see England goalie for the first 25 minutes lol
We are blessed with two very hungry forwards who can do things like this...

This will probably be Iran's faith in its encounter with England at the world cup, if the team approaches the games with the current plan and tactics.

Please post your impression of England players (the ones you have observed) from most recent squad announced by Gareth Southgate;
(some of mine are below)
GK: Jordan Pickford (Everton)
GK: Nick Pope (Burnley)
GK: Fraser Forster (Southampton)
DF: Conor Coady (Wolverhampton Wanderers)
DF: Marc Guehi (Crystal Palace)
DF: Tyrick Mitchell (Crystal Palace)
DF: Kyle Walker-Peters (Southampton)
DF: Harry Maguire (Manchester United) -------------------at the moment, he needs to work hard to keep his spot in the team. His recent performances at Man U has not been all that promising. Fans are calling for his departure from the team.
DF: Tyrone Mings (Aston Villa)
DF: Luke Shaw (Manchester United) ----------------------great left winger. Has strong physique, strong shots and reasonable speed. He is prone to mistakes at times, which opens the door for how to force it on him!
DF: John Stones (Manchester City)
DF: Ben White (Arsenal)
MF: Jude Bellingham (Borussia Dortmund)
MF: Conor Gallagher (Crystal Palace, loan from Chelsea)
MF: Jordan Henderson (Liverpool)
MF: Mason Mount (Chelsea)
MF: Declan Rice (West Ham United)
MF: James Ward-Prowse (Southampton)
FW: Jack Grealish (Manchester City) -------------------like to dribble and penetrate into the box. Real danger for our defenders not to commit fouls. His crosses and sharp passes are top class. We need more than Mohrammi to stop this guy.
FW: Phil Foden (Manchester City) ---------------------On Fire. This kid has pace, technique and knows how to score.
FW: Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur) -----------------Calm and composed player. His areal skills will be problematic for Iran to handle.
FW: Emile Smith Rowe (Arsenal)
FW: Raheem Sterling (Manchester City) --------------I think he is #1 treat for any team England plays against. He is bright, understands the game very well, passing and dribbling skills are top class. At the moment, Iran has no answer for this kind of players.
FW: Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa)

England's defence is not the problem. If they play Reece James and TAA our wings will be exposed but their center backs don't scare me. Their midfield is the problem. Hajsafi is going to be torn apart against their midfield if he plays. They can field 6 attacking mids in Saka, Foden, Sterling, Grealish, Mason Mount, and Sancho and annihilate us if we don't know how to keep possession. Ezatolahi on a good day is not enough for that. That's what we need to address.
Keep in mind that for whatever reason, the US will be able to keep the game close with England somehow. I doubt they lose by more than 2 goals. We don't want our game vs US to need us to score many goals. If we get into the last game needing just a win I'd say we did ok

I would say, the first 10-15 minutes of the game will be very critical. Possession and the ability to hold the ball and creating one or two chances would be key to making an early impression. England usually attempts to over power opponents early in the game. They come fast and furious from every possible angle, they take shots, send long balls, cross from the flanks, dribble into 18, and basically everything possible to confuse the opponent, and throw their game plan and formation out of the window! .. They did exactly that with Hungary, Albania and even Poland which is usually a very strong team. None of these teams were able to get their composure back together again after they let England do what it wanted early on!
So, for Iran there is only one option and that is to do exactly what England plans on doing! .. taking the game to them!
That would be like a battle field where one side, presumably weaker and less capable, surprises the other side with "courage" and more or less same perceived gun power! ... Kinda like what Ukraine is doing to Russia! And we all know who the winner is going to be at then end!
