I loved Sa Pinto as a player.

That was a fantastic period of portuguese football where even though they didn't have the superstars they would have later (Rui Costa and Figo aside) they played so nicely together.

I agree with you, I personally much rather prefer La Liga or Serie A for Mehdi.

An issue that concerns me is that Mehdi himself said (based on Portuguese media) in the past that he is keen on letting Porto make the decisions.

Porto will most likely sell if offered lots of money.
