    Can you list them please? I know this is a football forum but IR gets shit on because they are the world’s foremost pariah state. They are literally as we speak, slaughtering people in Abadan and other places for peacefully protesting. Saudi is trash too for killing that journalist, Yemen war, no democracy etc.

    This affects the friendlies we have. This affects the brand name of Iran all the world over. IR passport is as good as toilet paper. We deserve so much better. I don’t even blame IFF anymore, IR damages Iran and IFF has an incredible uphill battle. “Friendlies” are part diplomatic outreach. Look how many countries IR has a huge problem with. There should be no surprise we getting no friendlies moving forward.

        Have you seen interviews with MBS? He's one scary dude. His eyes look like that of a psychopath, just no emotion whatsoever.

              It would be helpful for Skocic to come and say something similar. I think this will help rally the troops and show that our boys are no different than other footballers. Right now - too much negative press. We need to counter it. Skocic can help.

                  It's important to remember though that the west doesn't give two shits about Iranians. Even when our people were free, we were destabilized and demonized. This is not to say that shah was perfect, he threw some of my family members in prison as well for political reasons, but at least he managed to hold on to his people and that's the most you can expect from a leader, honestly. Make an environment so I can enjoy living alongside my countrymen and women.

                      After expressing some rage for the cancellation, I gotta be honest and say it was the right call. We can't actually pretend IR wouldn't have pocketed a good chunk of that 400k TM would have received. As for suing Canada, seems like yall forgot that abomination of a letter Iran sent to AFC during the Asian Cup regarding the whole Iraq doping incident. Iran won't get a penny out of Canada with those zayeh English speakers they have at IR 😂

                          Kateb said something I agree with. Even though I am sad the game was cancelled, a bunch of families in Canada lost people that they will never see again. So, yeah, it's totally understandable that the game was cancelled.

                            I think you miss the forest for the trees with this logic. Wouldn't it have been more sensible to honour the victims of this tragedy with a moment of silence and black arm bands? Maybe even create a donation or raffle event at the stadium with proceeds to help the victims?

                            I prefer constructive rather than divisive strategies. Now that this game is cancelled who benefits? Seriously do the victims return? Does the pain of loss wipe away? Are people more polarized or no?
