"This is a totalitarian system whose presence people feel in their blood and in their flesh on a daily basis. And it’s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate people’s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh

Sobh bekhair! It's called the Islamic Republic and they don't allow women into stadiums - they beat them outside for wanting to watch a football match. The tournament is named after the alcohol company."This is a totalitarian system whose presence people feel in their blood and in their flesh on a daily basis. Australia is unlike any of our group members, however would be a good but emotionally charged challenge since 1997.

We have to hope that other teams invite us to prepare themselfs for their Asian opponents or teams beeing near to Iran from its playing style.
Looking at the post of Taremiscores with our 2014-2018 friendlies ive to say no wonder we dont go anywhere, as a WC team you have to play from low to big teams to have that feeling already.

I thought we were very close to some combination of Panama, Peru and New Zealand. Honestly, I'd take it at this point. Maybe squeeze in Venezuela somewhere and throw in Russia and Uzbekistan in before the WC and it may be the best we can hope for. I was giving IFF the benefit of the doubt, but it seems these numbskulls have regressed in their work.

Really highlights the dismissive, condescending and destructive attitude the biegger European countries have towards non-Euro nations in football.
Furthermore, CONMEBOL will be joining the UEFA Nations League from 2024 on.
This will be terrible as the remaining continents will basically never play European or South American nations again unless its a World Cup!
