Team Melli are toast. I doubt very much if FFIRI are capable of arranging friendlies for September with teams from CAF, CONCACAF and CONMEBOL.
Not to mention the needed friendly in November just days before the World Cup with any of the following:
Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Ukraine, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Turkey, Serbia or worst case with Macedonia, Georgia, Armenia, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Slovenia, Bosnia-Herzegovina.

As a fan it honestly hurts that our team hasn't played a single friendly yet. It hurts even more knowing that our continental rivals South Korea and Saudi Arabia get to play against the likes of Brazil/Colombia, and we have to pray that they’ll even answer back our emails.
I know I’ve written about this before, but I want to emphasize on this in case members of Iran’s.. Excuse me, I meant the islamic republic’s football federation are reading this.
In Fall 2012, Iran played South Korea and Uzbekistan in the 2014 World Cup Qualifiers. I believe it was Reza Ghoochannejhad’s 1st or 2nd cap for Iran, and Ashkan Dejagah’s 4th or 5th match for Iran. Around the same time, Iran’s U-16 and U-19 national teams were competing in their respective Asian Championship tournaments.
Saeid Ezatolahi, Ali Gholizadeh, Sadegh Moharrami, and Majid Hosseini were 16. Sardar Azmoun, Alireza Jahanbakhsh, Roozbeh Cheshmi, and Hossein Kanaani were 17-18 years old. These players were playing in those tournaments.
In the last 10 years we’ve watched these players grow from kids into professional footballers. They are a BIG reason for why this Iran national football team is where they are today. They are the core of this Golden Generation of Iranian football.
The Islamic republic football federation is responsible for our golden generation, and they can't set-up a fucking decent friendly to save their life.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is how this IFF and members of Majles treat their athletes. This is how they treat their athletes who cry their eyes out, get physically injured, players who carry guilt for years because they couldn’t do more to help their national team. Despite giving everything they have.
This is how the IFF treat their athletes when the national team they’re responsible for and are governing earn 4 points.. When they earn 4 fucking points in the "Group of Death" at the World Cup. The same athletes who had a poor preparation going into the same World Cup.
It breaks my heart. It is absolutely embarrassing, almost to the point of disgusting. It sickens me to see how they treat Team Melli.Last edited by teammelli91; 06-06-2022, 12:44 AM.
