Aziz, the moment you said you'd rather lose 4-1 to Spain instead of 1-0 to play "attacking open football" I couldn't take what you say as holding weight
Goal difference can make all the difference about going to the next round, is is not just about "aberoo"
Imagine losing a game 4-1 but you hit the post 3 or 4 times. Versus losing a game 1-0 without a shot on goal and abysmall passing rate and possession? Which do you feel your next opponent would be more concerned with? Again this is hypothetical. Of course if you lose 4-1 and get utterly dominated then the 1-0 loss is better all things equal.

The Mexican National Team joined (in the absence of it becoming official) the team to prepare for the 2022 Qatar World Cup, a friendly that is taking shape in Girona, Spain...

It seems that Mexico have chose Iraq as their preparation match for Saudi Arabia.

LOL, those khengollahs used an Egypt flag.
IR has no place in the modern world. Everyone just bypasses them. No want one wants to play the Islamic Republic.
Iraq is WAYYY preferred over IR Iran. Thank you akhoonds and all the Iranian money you steal to Karbala and Iraqi people
"This is a totalitarian system whose presence people feel in their blood and in their flesh on a daily basis. And it’s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate people’s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh
Nothing has been signed by Majedi. Nothing confirmed.

I know, but the option is there on the table. Up to Majedi to sign it.
Let's not be fooled by "95% done friendlies" - reality is, if he doesn't sign, those teams will play other teams. Other normal countries and federations plan long-term and are (or have) already finalizing/finalized their September friendlies.
IR Iran is not a normal country. We should be happy if we get Mozambique at this point.

But Uruguay Federation Confirmed friendly against Iran

I hate IR too but seriously do you think Iraq is really the preferred option? It was probably dirt cheap and the Mexican Football Federation probably thinks everyone from Syria to Kazakhstan are the same anyway.

I don't know man - we have now gone to the World Cup three straight times but we struggle to get friendlies.
I hope you're right. I just wish we can get friendlies as easy as some nations who aren't even in the World Cup! A lot of these are based on diplomatic relations that go beyond football. And that definitely affects us.
I hope the Uruguay match goes through but Majedi has weirdly not confirmed it yet (even though UFA did). If it was to happen, these IFF people would be promoting how they did great work - as Majedi seems to want to run for IFF president at the end of August. So he can claim some sort of victory to his presidential run that he can get great friendlies for TM if need be.
