Iran U17 will play tomorrow and is expected to defeat Comoros. The U17U19 team will return to Iran the day after the game to rest and prepare for the AFC qualification game in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. A final training camp will be held to select the final list.
They, like the U19s, must compete against the host team.

The Niigata games were an excellent tournament for Iran's U17 team.
U17 was tested in Japan against Japan's best U17 squad and gained valuable experience that will aid them in AFC Qualification next month.
Both Japaness teams were physically strong, particularly the Japan national team.
Iran U17 was intimidated in the first half but performed much better in the second. Referees were not impartial, awarding questionable red cards to Iran's central defenders ( Erfan first match and Ehsan Second match).
Because of this experience, Iran U17 will not be intimidated by Asian teams in the future.
I watched the Iran game, and despite the nice facilities, there was no medical assistance or stretcher to transport injured players.

Players seem like great kids, loved abdi's explanation of what they gained from this tournament. Playing Japan 2x in quick succession, plus the local nigata team I am sure gave them a totally different challenge compared to central asian opposition they are used to playing. Japanese are on top of asia right now by far when it comes to exporting talent to europe and it all starts from these youth levels. If these guys can beat the japan team their age, and only narrowly lose to the team one year older in Japan, that indicates they are progressing very well.

Their goal is lofty, to be top 4 in u17 WC. I hope they can make it, and go 1 further than our QF finish with Allahyar, Delfi, Shariati
