Today, U16 played a friendly match against the Doostimehr team. Tomorrow, they will go to Tashkent to participate in the Mirabror Usmanov U16 football Tournament.

Defensive Midfielders (U16)


The three tall and powerful DMs Razaghnia (Kia), Sadavi (Foulad), and Hoboobati (Kia) will have a chance to play.
All three of the DM on the U16 team had experience with the U12, U14, and U15 teams.
When the chance presents itself, they can all score, particularly on corner kicks.
They are valuable parts of Coach Abdi's team game plans,Razaghnia and Hoboobati are the second and third team captains.

U16 Offensive line

Abdi's preferred choice is the 4-2-3-1 system and the most likely starters are Tahrri , Sadeghi, Soltani, Gholizadeh alternative players are Askari, Sharifi, and Ghandipour.

Each set offers a unique offensive style, and during the course of the following three games, all 6 players will get an opportunity to showcase their abilities.

With a few minor changes, this team is nearly identical to the one Iran U16 faced up against in CAFA U16 a few months ago (May 2022), which ended in a 2:2 draw.

Jamoliddin Rahmatullayev is the Uzbekistan U-16 national team's head coach.


In honor of Mirabror Usmanov, a major contributor to Uzbek football, this competition is held. There are some very decent opposition teams. This competition is a warm-up for us ahead of the forthcoming Asian Cup qualifiers. For instance, playing a quality all-around squad like Japan will undoubtedly be a tremendous learning experience for us.


As I previously stated, this competition serves as a warm-up for the qualifiers. However, this does not imply that the outcome is not significant. since we play at home in front our supporters.


We also want to evaluate our athletes' ability while they are in the competition. This competition is significant to us in every manner, overall.

I want to express my gratitude to the competition's organizers for assembling such top-notch teams. For a month, we have been getting ready for this competition. Earlier, we competed against Uzbekistan in the CAFA tournament. We worked hard to research our opponents. We will be competing against top-tier teams, so overall, this tournament has a lot to offer.

The 4-2-3-1 that Iran used with Hobobati as OMF did not work. After 29 minutes, Abdi was compelled to replace him with Soltani.
Uzbekistan played better, kept the ball longer, passed more frequently, and produced more opportunities for goals.
Iran intends to score via corner kicks or set pieces.
