Iran U17 dominated a weak group and advanced unopposed. The weaker teams, Laos, Kyrgyzstan, and Hong Kong had no chance of moving on to the next round.
Despite their positive performances, the U17 team must improve if they want to stand a chance against much faster and stronger opponents like Australia, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, Japan, and Korea.
Teamwork and speed are areas that need improvement.
Although the current squad has many great players, the offensive line players were efficient. Taheri is a powerful and capable target forward. Gholizadeh is a tenacious, dependable, and capable RWinger. Ghandipour is a very good goal scorer and intelligent and Askari is a very talented left winger with lots of assists and goals.
Abdi is very qualified to coach this team
to glory.
Abdi was supposed to be pp head coach
but due to so much changes in the office pp
He never got what he deserved.
he has charisma as well which is a must for hc to
Have.
Overall the youth teams are in good Hands with
Samad marfavi and abdi.
