Here is an interview with Amir Hashemi-Moghadam on CQ's return that is worth reading. He is a former Esteghlal and TM player and coached in Netherlands for 20 years. He is also ARJ's agent and family friend. The main points in English:
- CQ's return was the best choice at this point and his strong management skills plus multiple WC appearances as a head coach will make a difference.
- The interview asks him why he has changed his mind since he was supportive of Skocic when the WC draw happened and he says he changed his mind after the TM camp in Qatar in May/June and the comments by TM players that showed Skocic had lost the locker room.
- He follows by saying that a good HC does everything to provide the best environment for players to thrive and Kocic plus Estili failed to do that. He refers to an example that how he went to India with Esteghlal as a player and Pourheydair (legendary Esteghlal player/coach/manager) woke him up in the bus because they had arrived in the middle of the night and asked that he translates for him and tell the Indian officials that if they don't change the hotel to a five star one right away Esteghlal would go straight back to Iran. He said it happened in 3 minutes and that's how he learned that a good HC does everything to support the players. He sees that as instrumental and he thinks Skocic failed at that.
- Lack of Skocic's leadership and then Estili not helping facilitated the strife in the TM locker room. After the strife was out in the open on Instagram, Skocic should have resigned himself to save face. It became untenable for him to continue. Skocic was unable to manage the top two TM players (I think he means Taremi and Sardar).
- Someone from IFF called him before all this and asked what he thinks the main reason for all the TM issues is and he said IFF and it's lack of managing the situation so that there is no unity in TM. He says that even the photos from TM practices and who the players posed with showed lack of unity plus how the bench players didn't get any playing time.
- Regarding TM players interviews, 99% of them were ok except for a couple (again I think he is referring to Taremi and Azmoon) and again the responsibility is with Skocic and Estili who could have declared a no interview rule.
- Regarding Estili criticizing Skocic's removal and CQ's return, he says if Estili was a good manager this would have not happened (One of Estili interviews with Misaghi against CQ - please keep your calm at a couple of CQ haters going at it https://video.varzesh3.com/video/260...A9%D8%B1%D8%AF). He also says that Estili himself spoke behind Skocic's back in certain circles and now he is criticizing his removal that shows he is not trustworthy. Being trustworthy is a requirement for being TM admin manager.
- I am thankful of Skocic for taking the TM to WC but he showed his limitations and we could not expect more from him.
- We have a lot of talent in many posts and CQ has a lot of good choices to make. He makes specific points that Pouraliganji and Majid Hosseini should bin the CBs and he welcomes Ramin Rezaian's TM camp invitation.
- TM should have the goal of getting four to six points in the group stage and advance.
- TM unity is of utmost importance and we should put red, blue, yellow aside and unite behind TM.
Go TM!

They then told the players before the game in Tehran and we lost 3-0 in that one?

We lost 0-3 because Mansourian either forgot or was unaware that Kamyabinia was ineligible (yellow cards).
