Honestly we have to start giving our big name players more credit. They must have so much love of playing for Iran, other players for other international teams would have probably given up by now.

The Crux of the matter is that we shouldn’t have been in a position where we are desperately searching for last minute friendly opposition. We qualified early, these international dates were put in place ages ago and we knew that certain teams from certain continents would be unavailable due to other competitions.

Uruguay was declined after Qatar games options became more plausible according to Iranian negotiators

They really don't know how to set goals, policy and know how to do it
