Yea well it's the 4th day of the FIFA international window and we don't have a friendly lined up. So this supposed 'benefit" isn't good enough of a reason to train in such conditions

Not that. It's not about what he is saying but what he is trying to avoid saying.
Qatar Idea came as a result of invitation and to IFF that was free trip. Their thinking was , while there we will find opponents from the teams that are there for various reason, hence no cost.
They are thinking free lunch
It;s about Money, It has been from the start. No money, no game.

Algerians are saying Iran-Algeria is a go for June 12th. That would mean South Africa is very unlikely.
Yes June 12 & 13 ( may be 14) can't be done , SA has a game on June 10 in Moroc ; Zimbabwe game was on June 13 (cancelled) but if replaced with Iran , it can be play on day later.
Whose genius idea was it to have a camp in Doha in middle of June?
Temps as high as 45. Even at night it only goes down to 33-34
What better way to improve fitness while getting exposure to the grounds for WC?
We ask for improved fitness but want our players to train in air-conditioned environments. Plus it's not like the pollution in Iran is beneficial for our players.
By the way if the Uruguay match was on do folks realize their daytime highs currently are about 7-14 Celsius...nothing comparable to Qatar even in November.

Qatar temps at the WC are significantly lower than what they are now.
