Mohammad Nabi: "The Iranian national football team will play Tunisia in their final warm-up game before the World Cup begins. On November 16, the game will be played in Doha, Qatar.
Great friendly, especially to test out some guys that are on borderline of xi and that he didn't get much/any time with. Guys like Ali Karimi, Hosseinzadeh, Zahedi (if he makes final squad) come to mind. IF azmoun is fit then this will also be a good game for him to get minutes under his belt.
Tunisia are strong team, beating japan 3-0, chile 2-0 recently.

I believe that CQ's match against Nicaragua on November 10 will determine the PGL players' selection, and the team's match against Tunisia on November 16 will feature all players (The final squad ) for the first time.
I believe CQ had selected all of the players prior to the Tunisia game. The final list shouldn't offer many surprises if any.
According to Italian newspaper 'La Repubblica' the US Ambassador in Italy formally asked FIFA to ban Iran from the FIFA WorldCup, and replace TeamMelli with Italy. It says that USA guarantee "the political support that may help to quicken this process".
Obviously would not happen, even if Iran is banned, as you can't replace an Asian team with a Euro team, but the audacity of this proposal (if true) reeks of imperial hubris.

I don’t think it’s US ambassador to Italy, just an Italian guy from the Kennedy Center.
“Zampolli, a modelling agent and real estate guru, recently joined the board of the Kennedy Center. ”
Shawn P. Crowley is the current US ambassador to Italy.
"This is a totalitarian system whose presence people feel in their blood and in their flesh on a daily basis. And it’s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate people’s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh
