Part of the reason our connection between youth level (where we have some really talented players in all age groups) and seniors is weak is bc of the coverage and agenda of the "media" in Iran.

We all know iran has no actual media, seda o sima is probably the single worst organization to come out of IR in terms of damage to society. They have created a tabloid culture worse than britain's and rarely ever ask legitimate questions or put the right people under pressure before it is way too late (see skocic). Instead of sharing the shocking statistics regarding u21 usage in PGPL (2nd worst in the world) and holding managers/clubs accountable for the damage they are causing, they prefer to fixate on meaningless BS like where shahbazzadeh and rafiei will go for the 1000000th time in their careers.

Instead of asking Nekou why he brought ibai gomez for a fvckton of money and never played him, or ask him why he consistently plays the likes of sasan ansari and abbasi who havent scored in literally years instead of real talents he has at his disposal like limouchi, they instigate artifical drama between him and skocic. Same questions can be levelled at Yahya, who took 2 tajik kids (who are ok defenders) and a garbage CF in temirov when our own u23 has many superior players.

St Mark on this forum alone has done more for the promotion of youth football than the media as a collective in Iran has accomplished. Hope he keeps contributing for many years to come.
