Is anyone else super depressed? Living in Vancouver and constantly dealing with unstainable expenses, lousy Islamic family traditions not aligning with how I live and whatnot, this game would've been a nice solid break from all of it and these shitheads took that away too. Oh and Ray Liotta died today ☹️
I'm assuming its raining in Vancouver like always - but try to go for a run or play soccer, or visit Stanley Park or any of the beautiful sites in Vancouver.
Have a nice meal and hang with the homies.
So just doing some numbers in my head, and what financial fuckery Canada Soccer is responsible for:
I alone had planned for the following:
- 8 tickets to the match (over $1,500 USD)
- 3 nights in a Vancouver hotel (over $1,000 USD)
- booked restaurant reservations for all meals over 4 days ($1,200 USD; assuming $100 per meal for our group, which is a low estimate)
- merch, snacks, drinks at BC place ($$$)
- Any touristy stuff our group would have done in Vancouver (parks, gardens, whatever)
Literally thousands of dollars that would have gone to local businesses, restaurants, workers, organizers, etc, etc (including Iranian restaurants in Vancouver that folks here kindly had recommended to me)
Now scale that up for all the other local and out of own visitors.
WTF were they thinking??? Is Alinejad and her cabal worth that much? Does MEK really have that much worth to Canada? It's mind boggling.
Gol Bezan Podcast will continue to be what it is and I hope you all enjoy our content. That's all.
Good, continue to talk about Iranian talents and football.
"This is a totalitarian system whose presence people feel in their blood and in their flesh on a daily basis. And it’s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate people’s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh

Hasn't rained much recently, I was just super stoked for the friendly. Otherwise you're right though, haven't played footy in ages but I'll go kick a ball again soon. My city has a turf field by my house now built recently
That "conspiracy theory" that IR funds some opposition abroad doesn't look too far-fetched now with the latest round of anti-Iranianism by some of these so-called opposition ...
The way to spot them is ask them this: what is the end-result/desired outcome of said action? Does it actually help Iranians inside Iran, those who hate the regime and want a better future? They are usually stomped and cannot answer it. They speak without thinking. Kind of like their masters in Qom.

I think that fact that Canada , wants to host a World Cup , this is massively bad example of poor sportsmanship, they invited us they arranged for this friendly then they back tracked , we would have 2 solid friendly games here , once they realized what was up they prevented the Iran Ecuador game from happening by denying a stadium permit , they sunk really low here , and then it went down hill , let’s face it , no country in this planet is perfectly innocent, they only thing here is Iran regime as zero friends or influence outside of its borders , no one cares about them or wants to defend them or stand up for them , we have rubbed other nations the wrong way tooo long ,,, we are insignificant in the world with or without us the progression of that region will continue, we just keep putting ourselves behind , we officially at North Korea level now …..
Like it don’t matter if we are the top ranked country in Asia who has 3 consecutive World Cup appearances even little Estonia or a weaker nation won’t play with us ,,,
We have ZERO PR ppl , we have such a bad name on the world stage, that no political party or country wants to have anything to do with us ….
This hurts Team Melli a lot , with it’s camps , friendly games , opportunities, even for the players to go abroad….
We also have an extremely bad attitude about how things work, almost like a massive negligence of respect and gratitude…
Japan invited us for 2 friendly games we turned it down
Qatar offered to arrange 2 friendly games we turned it down
Why are we so negligent, at this point in time any camp is better than no camp , any friendly is better than no friendly and any friends or is better than no friends
We can’t blame Canada for this, they a democracy and they listened to their ppl and it seems most of the players also did not want to play in the games as well so it was a United effort on their part I guess ..
But for sure the negligence and massive incompetence of the IFF should not be over looked here , let’s see how much time and opportunities they can ruin for us ….

I would not be surprised that IR highlights, and may be funds the craziest of the oppositions. However, I think some of the "opposition" is doing a bang up job of looking crazy all by themselves, or may be with a little help form the usual head-choppers.

Make no mistake about it. The guys who are being groomed to replace IR, are the same ones Pompeo, Giuliani, and politicians from both sides visit every day. This is all about that.
Iran has to be kept in turmoil in every possible way, every day. First the revolution, then war, then sanctions, assassinations, more sanctions, financial ban, Sports ban, and on and on. Iran can never be allowed to achieve half of its potential lest the brown people everywhere get funny ideas about self-determination or being anything other than mindless consumers. Unfortunately, some Iranians can't see the truth if it hits them on the head.
If Canada or Trudeau gave a crap about human rights, they would take action about KSA chopping up 80 people two months ago, or all the deaths that they were themselves complicit in.
They will never succeed. Today IR is stronger than yesterday and yesterday was stronger than the day before. Tomorrow will be stronger than today. This is a fact if we accept and get on with it we will achieve a lot more of what we want. But of course, there are those who have been saying the regime will fall in six months since 1979. They are entitled to believe what they want. It is like someone going down a road that is dead end for a hundred times and still believe he can get through if he keeps trying. Imagine if those idiots who campaigned hard to get this friendly cancelled didn't do this shit, we would have had a good preparation, we would have hope; we would progress; we would be more exposed and seen and respected; the international community would open up to us; the regime will have to accommodate TM success, feel more at ease and open up to the international community too; give people more freedom, respect the values of the international community. But this shit only fuels in isolation and that animosity would make IR close itself and feel threatened. And this is exactly because of as what you said.

I have a better theory for you: "the opposition" is funded by countries like Israel, Saudi Arabia, England, and U.S.A and they are against Iran not I.R. They did the same thing during the shah but not nearly as much and as broad as they are doing it now. When you are getting paid by any foreign country or government you are no longer "opposition", activist or journalist. You are just a traitor and that is it. Iranian people have to deal with anything foreign first before any action can be taken in the country.

Internally and externally - pressure is on Iranians. Only Iranians lose. As always. In 1979 till now and before. When will we get a win?

And I personally will never purchase any Canada gear ever again! Done. I just purchased a women's jersey for my spouse at almost $100. She asked me to return it. Will be doing it asap.
Holy shit. Can anyone verify this? Lol, IFF pulling a Wilmots on Canada. Good for them!
All in support of this. 10 Million is too little. Get more!
