Anyone who has watched Iran in the world cup...basically every Iranian, has indirectly contributed to Fifa and consequently IRI. Anyone who disagreed with the Iran-Canada friendly should not watch TM on TV anymore. And all Canadians who disagreed with Iran friendly should not watch the WC either.

This probably was already said, so I apologize if I'm repeating the point. But the opportunity to protest at the stadium and in the stadium with signs and chants that would have been seen and heard in millions of Iranian homes, I feel, would have been so much more impactful than forcing the cancelation of this match. Maybe it would have created a dialogue in Iran about the issues rather than polarize it further by making things a West vs. Iran narrative.

Also I hate that I'm still thinking about this subject but I'm just frustrated about things

Counter-argument: If terrorist I.R. didn't shoot down a plane, then the match would have likely been played today against Canada just like in 17 August 1997 and 04 June 1999 (I didn't mention 26 April 2001 because that was played in Egypt) given that the regime back then was the same as it is now.
