Scotland so bad i refuse to believe the fix wasn't in

No Scotland is that bad. I watched some of their games in the group stage. A weak qualifying group allowed them to come in second. They play like a 2nd division English team(ECL). Lots of running and physical challenges, but not a lot of quality build up play.

Too bad... Would have loved to see Eng-Scot duke it out.

England v Wales is just as much of a big match , no love lost there at all.

Crowd will be brilliant in Wales too, such loud fans. Singing of their anthem etc, looks like Wales will be able to play Joe Allen and Ramsey in the middle. Bale looks like he will be fit to start (literally dragged himself over the line in their last game). Dan
James and Kieffer moore started tonight but both came off at half time so I think both may potentially start against Ukraine.
Look to use Moore’s physicality against that susceptible Ukraine goalie, they will make sure Harry Wilson and Bale (both excellent set piece takers) will be hitting in swingers at the goalie and put Moore on his feet.
Wing backs have good crossing ability too with Ben Davies and Neco Williams.
Tonight’s game emotionally may have taken a lot out of Ukraine - was a big occasion for them. Wales will look to come out fast and finish off Ukraine early, something the Scottish didn’t do and should have done.

Just curious is Buschan Ukraines #1 keeper? He made so many blunders it could have easily gone then other way if Scotland could finish.

A competent IFF would be jumping on the possibility of securing Scotland, Ireland (Both North and South) for a friendly now but no, that aint gonna happen.

Watched both the Ukraine vs Scotland and the Wales vs Poland game today ..

- Ukrainians are like us a very technical team , they have skilled players the have good ball control and great team work,,, very offense team, the hold on to the ball and try to play from the back , , their weakness seemed to be from the right side also their goalkeeper was shaky too played with the ball to much on a couple of occasions…

they totally out classed Scotland , and this same Scottish team totally outclassed Israel a few months back just putting things in perspective …


Wales vs Poland


Wales is offensive as well , very psychical team , strong in the challenges, I didn’t see a lot of individual talent today , but both Ramsey and Bales didn’t play but they are the offense one two punch ….


Both Wales and Ukraine are offense teams , Ukraine likes to hold the ball more , Wales is more psychical but from the way things look I predicted Ukraine will qualify , they are not a weak team and the war has them very very motivated …

Pyatov used to be their number 1 but I think they were transitioning Buschan to first choice keeper. Not sure what the plan is with Lunin though who is reserve keeper at Madrid.

Wales is strong. However, it would be better if there is no Ukraine in Team Melli's group. Referees might favor them to win in the match with Team Melli.

You are absolutely right. However, for a friendly in November just before the World Cup, FFIRI should arrange match with either Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland to prepare for England and Wales.

If Ukraine qualifies, then FFIRI should be looking for friendly with Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Russia (if FIFA permits).

Saudi Arabia already arranged a November friendly with Croatia.

I love Ukraine and have respect for their national football team. Who remembers their 2006 World Cup campaign? That team was pure gold. They lost to Italy in the quarter-finals but they had a great tournament.

As much as I respect Ukraine, I don't think it'll benefit Team Melli if Ukraine made it to the World Cup. They'll have millions of people backing them up. This group already has politics written all over it. I understand that players don't think about this type of stuff. Once the ref blows the whistle everyone is focused on the match. But the fact that i.r. supports Russia is not good. England, USA, Ukraine and Iran..

I hope Wales goes through and I think they can do it. Bale will be highly motivated to play at 1 World Cup before he retires.
