Zenit holding coaching lessons in Sepahan

Gazprom Academy coaches are in Iran as part of our cooperation deal with Sepahan Football Club.

Maxim Nifontov, Deputy Director of the Centre for Advanced Training of Coaches and Head of the Department of Theory and Methodology of Football at Lesgaft National State University and Pavel Pervushov, Gazprom Academy and Zenit U10s coach are both in Iran and working with Sepahan's own coaches.

Sepahan's Academy were in Russia in May this year to take part in the Kazachyonok Cup, and from 23-28 May coaches from the Iranian club had online training sessions with Zenit's own Centre for the Advanced Training of Coaches.

Zenit and Sepahan signed a co-operation agreement in April 2021.

God bless Russia becoming a pariah state now too. Truly fantastic for us, now get that Russia friendly booked.

Iran should approach Russia about Russia leaving UEFA and Iran leaving Asian champions league and both creating a new Eurasian Champions league.

      Members:

      Iran
      Russia
      Donbass
      Belarussia
all the estans (Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan, Pakistan)
      Azerbajan
      Armenia
      Georgia

That would be enough for 3 groups of 4 teams each!

There would be lots of upsides with this move!

Edit: The new Eurasian Champions league would of course have way more than 12 teams (I was counting countries in my last post, so that would still hold for a potential Eurasian Nations Cup with the respective national teams).

But the Eurasian Champions League would of course have way more than 12 teams. Let's say the top club teams of each country (either two per country, or more likely between one and three per country, keyed to the strength of the league) for a total of 24-36 club teams.

That would be one serious competition!
