Niger vs Algeria Highlights. Pretty decent team.
Great team to test our DF. They surely opened up nigeri DF line pretty well.

We have played vs. Mahrez and Algeria before the 2018 World Cup.

Congratulations IFF on securing 1/4 friendly matches! Bravo! IFF deserve a gold medal for getting us 1 friendly. It's a miracle.

Just to clarify they played Niger. Far weaker side than Nigeria.

Does anyone know how the current Algeria team compares to the 2018 edition that we beat last time? Are they same, better, or worse?

They won AFCON 2019 and nearly qualified for the World Cup under their current manager, so I'd say definitely better.

Also, won Arab Cup 2021 under a different manager.

The 2018 team was much better than this one (on paper).

Just to clarify, the Algeria side that will be playing us is not the same as the one that played Niger.

They also have a domestic side (kind of like old days of TM B), this is the team that played Niger. Occasionally some of these players make it to the main national team, but usually not before they go to europe.

The team that played Uganda will play us.

Would be interesting for TM to bring back a similar thing.

According to iranian media, algerian coach is keen on testing new players. So I don't think so. But to be honest I prefer to see motivated algerian team . I also prefer to see new players getting tested .

But the match was confirmed by the Iranian Football Federation (literally highest tier source) for June 12th in Doha!: http://ffiri.ir/fa/news/12003/دیدار-...-در-دوحه
