Yup….difference is tho when shojaei was in a poor position, gave a silly turnover, held onto the ball too long, was caught sleeping, etc. he had nekounam, teymourian, ebrahimi, ezi, etc. behind him…..noorafkan will have just abedz or beiro!

God help us if he is in the XI especially as CB against England, USA and Wales!!!

On a slightly brighter and more optimistic side I hope to see a strong showing from Hajsafi at LB so at least then Skocic can have crystal clear evidence we have a better LB than noorafkan (even though I think he already does have the evidence).

woulda preferred haji sooti benched and Omid playing LB instead..!! magge CB ghati bood to camp..? guess so somewhat..!!

Nourafkan has played CB before multiple times in omidTM .... but he doesnt have the size nor the combative defensive nature to be a reliable CB..!! he has a great attacking sense/movements but falls asleep way too frequently on his defensive duties..!!
at least we can play the ball forward from the backline better with both Majid and him back there and play a more attacking theme but we can ill afford to get hit on a swift counter with these two isolated in our backline w/o back up defensive help..!!

hell its an experiment... i guess ... lets see how it pans out !!?

Algeria starting a pretty strong side.

Surprised not to see bensebaini but Bennacer, Zorgane, Kadri midfield is very technical and all euro based. Ghezzal and Brahimi (OGC Nice) out wide will be dangerous and strong tests for our full backs.

GK is probably gonna be their #1 moving forward, starter in France.
