Friendly: Iran - Algeria; Info, Updates and Live Reports (12.06.2022)
Those who hope we get some good results at the finals, should start praying. if not religious I suggest temporarily become one and start praying. because these players can't play football at the highest level.

The problem with this quick passing out of the back is that they are supposed to pass to people who are open enough to receive the ball and look for the next open person instead of this pinball style passing of bumping the ball randomly. It was only a matter of time before they were going to cough up the ball. There is definitely a large difference in conditioning between the two teams. They are pressing all over the field and we are backing up and giving space all the way back into our 18. They are completing an unacceptable number of ground ball passes to their lone forward. Problem is our midfield offering no pressure more so than our D line or the Goalie.
Fellow posters, particular the Skocic haters, please stop lying to prove your point. This is a mix of Algeria A and B, and nearly all 1st half players for them are Europe-based.
First 15 minutes for Iran was a nice effort in open playing with tight passes. Clearly, it wasn't sustainable. Defense, particularly Omid and Amir, are a mess. Who made that backwards pass for the goal, ARJ? I hope we see a different set of players in the second half.
Perhaps most importantly, I hope we see 2-3 friendlies for September!

We beat and outplayed Algeria (who made the World Cup) with Mahrez. These guys have no idea what they are talking about.
This is like Algeria's C team lol
Very unfair and wrong.
We played well v Algeria for 20 min and then they dominated. Go watch. It’s the game that got Ghaforui and Aghaei cut from Tm they were so bad.
Minus Mahrez, this will be Algeria’s A team soon. Good opposition. We’re looking terrible because the usual combo of Hajisafi and Noorafkan play really poor.
We wanted a friendly to expose our shortcomings and errors.
As it is happening right now we are going nuts.
Hamino mikhastim dige baba.
It would be fine if Skocic was trying something new but he’s making the exact same mistakes he has in the past. Starting noorafkan as CB, playing with sadegh again at RB, not implementing ANY kind of defensive shape or tactics…..and this is the result. On pace to take another loss as we did vs SK…….it’s not something anyone can defend anymore, it’s ridiculous and disgraceful at this point.

What a lazy and amateur defending by a ... lazy and amateur player. What's the surprise?
"This is a totalitarian system whose presence people feel in their blood and in their flesh on a daily basis. And it’s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate people’s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh
Hats off to a GREAT performance by Majid Hosseini.
The only bright spot in the first half.
