Hoorad has a tendency of doing this. He was vocally rooting for both Korea and Algeria.

Don't forget the Lebanon match too, Kasra.

      I don't discriminate.

In fact this is not good for us. With both England & Wales coming up short they will work harder to overcome their deficiencies & come up with better game plans & tactics. I would have preferred they won these games easy so some complacency crept into their preparations. Complacency & overestimating their strengths was going to be our biggest ally, now that has gone as well...

are you trolling? or this is actually serious?

I find it hard to believe that you actually sell out your own country, you seem to be very decent. Thats why i think you're trolling us.

Irregardless if I'm trolling or not, if Skocic is the coach for the World Cup it will be a guaranteed 3 losses with Noorafkan and Noroullahi in starting lineup!

.....Okay but are you rooting for other teams instead of team melli because of that reason or no?

..... I didn't ask you if you're happy with the coach or not or you think we will beat all three teams in our group.

Agreed. But can't we apply this analogy apply to us as well? I think losing to Algeria in a friendly should do better than worse to TM. We need to work on our weaknesses of both our players and coach.

In theory your are correct but the visible difference is that those teams have relevant tools and competencies in place to correct their deficiencies, for us there doesn't seem to be any particular plan or tactical prowess that assess the need and works towards mitigating it even after many weak performances. My opinion is not base on the one game against Algeria but all the games we have played, especially against better teams. The only coaching remedial attempt has been to throw different players into different positions and hope somehow, magically, the whole team will come good. So my hope of any improvement is low unless something drastically changes.

England have a terrible fan base who turn on their team at the sign of anything going wrong. That is why England generally underperforms on big stages. Today people were booing their own team after the 2nd goal. Their team is psychologically brittle and wilts in front of fan pressure. England has had 4 bad results in their last 4 games...with 2 losses and 2 draws. And the next time they play is in September against Germany and Italy. Their players have had a gruelling season topped with the stupid Nations League which continues in September. They will be more tired than any other nation.

They will prepare all summer but they won't be able to get rid of their biggest weakness...wilting in front of fan pressure!

This is a forum where all types of people post. Team melli fans or not (unfortunately).

The players fully understand the limitations of the situation, but they have the gheyrat and fight to make the best of undesirable circumstances. They understand what they will represent on the world stage coming November.

I’m behind them 100%, and hopefully this Algeria game was a wake up call for everyone.

Most people are already awake my friend.
These 2,5 years and 18 games should have been more than enough for everyone to wake up.

Famous Algerian BeIN Sports Arab commentator Hafid Derradji says on his official Facebook page that Algeria may have won because Iran was very weak (and the sky is blue habibi).

"This is a totalitarian system whose presence people feel in their blood and in their flesh on a daily basis. And it’s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate people’s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh
