    Simple as that.
    Surely you must be joking?

Although we're a lot of people who can't stand that dallal Skocic, we should never sink so low and cheer on our opponents.
There is a word for that and it's called vatanforooshi.

Nope. He made it clear in replies to my post he is not. This is the definition of a bandwagon fan. Support the team as long as they win and your in favour of the makeup of the team. When things get tough you bail.

Some of the anti skocic crowd are just loyal to a certain person and that is their entire TM...

Which certain person are you referring to? CQ?

And are you suggesting that Leicester City is, or has ever been, loyal to that certain person? He always supported Branko in the Ivankovic vs Queiroz debates here. I would have thought you knew that..., given how active you are?

Fact is that the vast majority of this forum, seeing a distinct lack of any form of shape and game plan for TM after all these games, and in anticipation for the last "true" world cup against a historic line up of opponents, just want to see someone who the players respect complete the project with TM, armed with this group of players who he has nurtured. We just don't want a repeat of 2006 again, and the signs are there for anyone who has followed TM for the last few decades. Just like in 1998, there is still time to get someone decent in (Ivic type character) and get us ready for the last big world cup campaign.

Even Hoorad would prefer CQ to take over now, having been much more anti-CQ than even folk like you before.

I don't think I am any more of a vatanforoosh than people openly supporting terrorists like Khamenei or Soleimani on the team.

I don't think I am any more of a vatanforoosh than Rafiei or Khalilzadeh (both who are regulars on TM) that were cheering against Iran in Asian Cup 2019 when Queiroz was in charge or Khiabani who was openly cheering on Venezuela in 2018.

Equally, I don't think I am any more of a vatanforoosh than those who (on this very forum) were planning to go and protest the Canada game.

I just won't accept that when such instances exist.

Even by Ozone's jurisdiction, you are a vatanforoosh because being "Skocic-Out" and cheering opponents are NOT mutually exclusive in his vision.

Maybe I was referring to Branko...you can assume whatever you want. Notice I didn't mention CQ...you did. I thought we agreed not to discuss Cq with each other?

Lol you read that as vatanforoushi?

All I said in that post in order for Skocic to have a chance at being fired he has to at least lose to Algeria for starters. Aka you have to hope for a loss. Never said anyone is vatanforoush. I don't even use that term as I don't like it. Particularly in world of sports.

Sadegh Moharrami actually did very well. I give him a 7/10.

He made 3 mistakes. But other than that, he was contributing to plays, making clean tackles, intercepting balls, juking his 1v1 opponent and making space for the triangle around him to create plays..

On 1-2 occasions he even left his post to center midfield to help clean up the mess.

Also, I’m not sure if Skocic instructed him to go up the flank or if Skocic just doesn’t care what Sadegh does. Because the big errors Sadegh made were due to leaving his position open for Algerian left mid/wingers to attack.

I wouldn’t give Sadegh anything lower than a 7/10. I may do an edit of his performance later this week.

I was very impressed by Aref Aghasi. I swear to God I had never heard of him before because I haven’t followed our league this year. He was solid and it was his first appearance in a Team Melli shirt. You could tell he’s hungry to keep a spot in the squad. He made many contributions in defense and a few times in attack. As a CB I wouldn’t run all the way up like that, but his efforts eventually resulted in the goal. He got the ball to Noorafkan. He also made 1 mistake.

Sadegh can show even stronger performance in 352 as a wingback. Additional CB cover will help him a lot on his weak points and allow him to showcase more of his strengths.

One really dissapointing thing from the game was that on paper the Sadegh+Gholi+ARJ right side was supposed to be a hub of technique and creativity. Instead ARJ gave up a goal from there, gholi was non-existent (might as well have been playing with 10 men), and that often left Sadegh lacking options with whom to initiate attacks from down that side.

Faster Skocic realizes that Gholi is giving nothing to this team as a starter the better.

I think if Sadegh is gonna push forward he needs to have the right player covering for him. When he left his post he didn't have the right person running back or filling in for him.

This is why playing friendly matches is so crucial leading up to the World Cup..

                        Sigh.. Cheghadr badbakhtim vaghean.

Sadegh is a great player and I thought he was fantastic against algeria however this was against algeria not physical team. Look at sadegh against semi physical team like korea. He was man handled by koreans. Sadegh does not suit defensive playing style which we need to use against England.

                          So to put in short

                          defensive games
                          shoja >>>> Sadegh

                          Attacking games
                          Sadegh >>>>> shoja

                            Sadegh's touch is gone man.
He throws the ball too forward and loses it in the middle of the field. Watch the Algeria game, and you will see he almost made the same mistake he made versus UAE (?) - he pushed forward, rolled the ball too far forward, tried to recover with a overzealous tackle...

If Sadegh was on form, I agree with your assessment.

If not Sadegh, then another RB. Don’t see how a slow 30 yr old CB is a solution. He will just get burned over and over like Noorafkan was against Algeria.

Btw I am seeing some comments that Noorafkan is not a CB but ok LB/LM? Did he not get burned 3-4 times out there? His attempts to win the ball were laughable. Just sticking his leg out like a dog taking a piss. At least use that chubby body. He just lets both ball and man get by with all that space behind him.

small correction, he is a slow 33 yr old CB

^ We've got Vouria Ghafouri. If Ramin kept his grub worm tucked away, maybe we'd have 3 options.
