Yes, I agree. From the games I have seen from him he was a quality player and it's great news for Argentina's national team that he chose them over Italy. Will definitely be a great loss for Feyenoord's backline.

Same with Sinisterra, he deserved a much better team than Leeds. Leeds would be the last team I would imagine him going to, instead, somewhere like La Liga or Serie A. Sadly, these English teams have absurd amounts of money and a club such as Feyenoord is only to make a profit regardless if their players go to a great club like Lazio or Roma.

They are already done with JB, this was clear when he lost his starting spot three times, and they signed two wingers this off season.
At this point they rather give playing time to their prospect (Walemark) to help him improve.
This will only be long seasons if JB's doesn't manage get a loan move or transfer. Hopefully his agent manages that.
