team melli MIDFIELD : what combinations should tm start.

i think in the midfield position
    iran is SO LOADED
Its a shame we cant create more
    scoring opportunities .
    saeed ahmadnoor
    golizadeh and jahanbakhsh
    are starters.
do we have better than these
    4?
mehdi and sardar needs to get
feed to score goals and these 2
    deserve better.
    lets say we play
    4-2-3-1 formatiom
    biravand
    shoja pag kanani amiri
    norafkan saeed
    sadegi mehdi alahyar
    sardar

    Of the current roster:

    Starters:
    Midfield center: Ezatollah, Ebrahimi
Midfield wings: 2 of 3: Jahanbaksh, Ghoddos, Sayyadmanesh

    Bench:
Midfield wings: Golizadeh, [If kept in the roster: Ansarifard, Noorafkan]
    Midfield center: ???.

    Tryouts:
We need to try out new IPL players in the camp(s), especially for CM.
On the midfield wings, I would also like to see Shahab Zahedi and Eckert-Ayensa tested.

I disagree. We have one of our weakest midfield lines in history, also given their age and form.
I would give anything to have a Neku-Ando or Ghelich-Sadeghi for the world cup.

Presumably when he says loaded he means the same way I'm loaded after being on a koobideh-only binge diet and not having had a dump for over 24 hours.

          4411 with
JB on the left, Ghoddos and Ebrahimi in the middle and Allahyar on the right.

Taremi can drop deep when needed.

Our midfield setup will also depend heavily on what our defense looks like. Assuming we go with 4 at the back.

            England:

3 center mids:Ezatolahi, Ghoddos and Ebrahimi, with either Ebrahimi or Ezatolahi playing behind the other two. indications show that England will boss possession this game so our best possession midfielders with experience are needed. Jahanbakhsh can be tasked with helping on the right side deep and Taremi can drop back on the left.

            Wales:

This game is a toss up no matter how I think of it. If World class Bale shows up we are done. If not, I'm happy with most choices. To me, this game is more about us just knowing how to create chances. If we make them, we are in it.

            USA:

The US midfield torches ours for speed. We need good tacklers and engines. If a miracle happens and Amiri is back I want him in. If not, I would put Ebrahimi and Ghoddos for ball possession in a pivot. Depending on the group standings, we may have to go for it meaning putting on Jahanbakhsh on RW, Azmoun as forward with Taremi behind him and Sayyadmanesh/Torabi as LM/LW.

The US defence is criminally undertested. Uruguay is much better for us for sure but they exposed a lot in the friendly, just couldnt finish. If Canada and Costa Rica can do it we can. Azmoun>>>>>>Joel Campbell. Their defense depends on speed/strength. They don't play target forwards like Azmoun, tricksters like Taremi, or dribblers like Gholizadeh(sub) often.

it is one of our worst midfields ever.

amiri-eza-ebrahimi is good imo. maybe throw ghoddos in there when needing more offense.

golizadeh should come off the bench.

                norafkan real position id dmf
he be star if he plays his true position.

saeed is solid and has experience
just needs to control his calorie intake.

We got some solid players if they are in form and injury-free.

                    Saeid Ezatolahi
                    Saman Ghoddos
                    Ali Karimi
                    Omid Ebrahimi
                    Ahmad Nourallahi
Vahid Amiri (who should start as Left-Back as we are terrible in that position)
                    Mehdi Mehdipour
"This is a totalitarian system whose presence people feel in their blood and in their flesh on a daily basis. And it’s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate people’s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh

A lot can change in months before WC and depending on opponent.

For england imo it would be suicide if we dont play some variant of 352, with 3 center backs and 3 guys in the middle. For this game Amiri would have to be LWB.

Ghoddos is key for us and should always start, nobody else can be relied on to keep the ball under pressure, relieve stress on backline. Next to him a fit ezatolahi is obviously a starter but I am getting more worried about his situation by the day. Everybody else has started preseason, he is still playing with his balls in Iran. Considering that he is the one who needs long preseason the most this is very concerning. He is bad habit of joining new teams at end of preseason then being low in pecking order and taking extra weeks to get back into playing shape. For me Ali Karimi if fit and playing minutes could partner Ebrahimi in DM line if saeid is not ready.

                      Vs england:

                      -----------------------------Beiro-------------------------

                      -------Kanani------------Pouraliganji-----Hosseini----------

                      Moharrami----Ghoddos----Ezatolahi/Karimi----Ebrahimi---Amiri

                      -----------------------Azmoun-----Taremi----------------

Vs Wales if revert to back 4. Amiri can push into midfield OR stay at LB. He is much more effective as midfield player though.

                      ---------------------Beiro----------------

                      Moharrami-----Kanani----Hosseini-----Hajsafi/Amiri

                      Ghoddos-------Ezatolahi/Karimi-----Amiri/Ebrahimi

                      ARJ/Allahyar-----Azmoun------Taremi

Vs USA. Like to see some variation of this. either 433 or 4411.

                      ----------------------Beiro------------------

                      Moharrami----Kanani---Hosseini------Hajsafi

                      Ghoddos----Ezatolahi/Karimi---Ebrahimi---Amiri

                      -----------------------Taremi----------------------

                      ----------------------Azmoun---------------------

Mehdipour and Hosseinzadeh can be good substitutes to maintain energy levels of the midfield in 2nd half of any of the matches.

Serious question: when was the last time Ghoddos performed well for team melli? Every time i've seen him play for the national team as of late he's not been the best

Skocic has not been able to solve any of TM's line up problems. He just keeps fielding the same old same old and gets the same old problems!

If this was CQ, he would have had a solution for our left wing, and midfield by now. Just look back and see how he solved the left back with Pouladi in 2014 and with Milad in 2018 .. He developed a midfield lineup for 2018 ground up!

This Skocic guy, a typical hard headed Eastern European who knows little but thinks he is somebody!
