"Taremi has once again shown that he is much bigger than all those who attack him together"

FC Porto praised the Iranian's performance in the game against Braga.

FC Porto returned to triumphs with a rout in the reception to Braga, game of the eighth round of the championship. In the newsletter Dragões Diário, the blue and white club emphasized its superiority against an opponent that was still without defeats and mentioned Taremi.

"For the second time this season, FC Porto was far superior to a rival in the fight for the title and won at Dragão by three goals difference. After the 3-0 triumph over Sporting, this time the victim was Braga, defeated 4-1 with goals from Evanilson, Eustáquio, Pepê and Galeno. Despite not having scored, Taremi was one of the figures of the game and once again showed that he is much bigger than all those who attack him together", reads .

In the classification, the dragons now have the same 19 points as Braga, with an advantage in direct confrontation, following both, provisionally, two points from the 100% victorious leader Benfica, who travels to Guimarães on Saturday.

Bayer and Sardar at Porto on Tuesday for CL match. It' s a must win for Porto to stay in the running for qualification. Not much hope for Bayer, the way they have been performing lately. Hoping for goals from one or both our boys, no matter how the match turns out.

What other position for Taremi can be useful, if any?

Please forgive my naivety but I had a dream that he was used as a half back for Team Melli? Do you think he can be useful in other positions considering his intelligence and abilities. Thanks!

            He was already a hero.

The black wrist band made him a super hero.

With his red card in the last game wont taremi be suspended for this game? Was his red overturned?

He was the first one to support Iranians and protestors by wearing black wristband on September 17.

Chelsea and Tottenham join '15 other clubs on scouting mission' but eye different targets

According to A Bola, scouts from 17 clubs were in attendance at Porto’s game on Friday night. And the publication recently linked two of Porto’s stars with moves to London.

Last month, they revealed Chelsea had made a late approach for striker Mehdi Taremi at the end of the summer transfer window. The Blues got in touch with Porto to discuss the possibility of negotiating a move for the 30-year-old as they looked to solve their problems in front of goal.

I know some of you have your views on Potter but I rate him. With hindsight Taremi would have fit in well to his style of football, high press and playing with a front three similar to how Porto do.

There are so many factors in a player being successfull
in a team, unless you are an all-round highly skilful
player like messy who does not need others to be useful
in the team. Taremi is a team player, he needs players
to connect well with him so he can assist, get assists,
press, and initiate attacks. He has worked hard
at Porto to achieve this and IMHO he might not be able
to do that in other clubs. Why leave when you are riding
the high wave and winning trophies?

Are you worried that he’d end up like Jahanbakhsh or Azmoun?
