Great run by him after short corner, heads it perfectly into eustaqios path. Great 1 touch finish by him, made so much easier bc of the weight of taremi's layoff. He is also in great form heading into the WC.Comment

Happy he played and assisted. This idea of resting before WC I do not really buy. Especially for porto, so many points already behind benfica and away from home. Now if he is benched altogether, thats fine, but faking injury or illness is not like old days, medical staff can distinguish right away and would seriously damage any player's reputation with coach, fans, and people who pay their salary.
Not to mention when you go into games thinking actively to not get injured is usually when injuries occur.
Mehdi as usual the ultimate professional, even pissed to be subbed early and leave the field without scoring and helping his golden boot chances.Comment
