My guess is from very top. Since strong performance of volleyball team highest positions of government have commented favorably on their success and importance of having iranian coaches leading national teams. These sort of comments = signals to the right people to make Iranian coach for TM happen.

Javad is strongest option in terms of resume, what he has done with Foolad in ACL.

And let's be real, if CQ was offered the chance, he would do it, get a WC and AC chance to prove himself again, and this time the players are even more so in their prime 🚀🔥

CQ is the guy with the highest chance of getting us into second round. He knows these players, he knows the team. He knows unity and siege mentality

He never got the chance to do his Phase 3 but everything is in place for him now. This is ready for him to become the record holder for most world cups as a manager, most world cups with a single team...

          But...

At the moment it is very unlikely he will get the job. Javad I think is highest odds

Nekounam has the same equivalent level of experience as Southgate did when he became England manager after boro. That's fine for a world cup IF he can unite the troops. But I do think it would be nice to have some help... Even in an advisor role...

If not CQ - Javad the best option by far imo

Young, good recent success, Iranian, authoritative, PLAYERS RESPECT HIM, lot of international experience that's quite recent, knows how to rally a team together, and assistant under CQ

            Miles ahead of Skocic

Do you remember reason why Nekounam left as assistant under CQ? did they have a fallout or something?

                Even under FOOLAD

you can tell the entire team is very united and cohesive. Every game I've watched in ACL is like that. One players success is everyone's success. That's credit to the leadership that Javad has cultivated

THEY SHOULD NOT HIRE A COACH

I don't know, but he always modelled his style on CQ

                      https://partonews.ir/en/nekounam-my-...y-in-textiles/

Nekounam said about his strong defense and comparing his coaching style with that of Carlos Queiroz: “Mr. Queiroz is one of the great coaches in the world, but my coaching style is such that I tried to learn from any coach in Spain or Mr. Kirosh. He sees things in football that he needs a lot of experience to understand. My coaching style, as a young coach, is to try and have a hard-working team. You know that it is difficult to face costly and valuable teams such as Esteghlal, Persepolis, Golgohar, Sepahan, Rafsanjan Copper, but our goal is to run and fight until the last moment. To compensate if we are weak, if we are strong we try to become stronger.

The main difference is that Nekounam relies more on older hands whereas Queiroz was always doing a multi-layered plan for the future and blooding in new players (sometimes to the chagrin of members here, but it always worked out in the end...).

But for someone to come in with four months to go and manage 3 games in the world cup, Javad would seem like the most practical local choice. If he can have CQ as advisor then even better

                        yes
                        cq
wanted javad to seat in the stands loool
and pay his dues before puting him with other assist coaches.
same thing he did with ali karimi.
cq is old school and our players becoming coaches want everyhing fast on silver plater

You guys are forgetting when Javad ran onto the field and ‘celebrated’ after Reza Ghuch’s goal against Qatar. He was suspended for a few games and then just left I think.

True, from what I've seen of Javad he has been supportive of CQ and his coaching style he acknowledges is based on Queiroz.

                            I mean:

Gucci was so clutch, one of our finest foreign-based players.

one of CQ's most painful, necessary, phasings out must have been him.

                                https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_aUN68Wa4g

That's what it's like to be a coach thinking of the future. Queiroz could have kept him around for 4-5 more years but he couldn't have progressed the development of Taremi, and indeed Azmoun, that way.
