No one is denying that CQ is a hot headed stubborn person. He picks fights with other coaches, referees and officials. He was even suspended coaching the Portugal NT for 6 months because he insulted the anti-doping team. He clearly has a pattern, he picks fights with officials and outsiders either as a psychological tool to influence decisions or to get his asks. However, non of this drama was tolerated inside camp as he was not afraid to cross off any players and stars if they don't fall in line. He eliminated the so called "bazikon salari" culture in TM. Because of that he brought in both sense of unity and discipline in the team, and that no player is above another. Under his management there were no more farewell games and pishkesvats handing flowers. So, this current drift and drama within the team would not have happened under his watch.
That said, I have to admit that his hot headed mentality was a double edge sword. Even though he fought and managed to get better camps, bonuses, friendlies etc., some of his actions effected players mentality as well. Personally, I think the reason we lost to Japan in AC was not due to bad tactics (I think we were a better team) rather a psychological one. The way our players ran toward the referee complaining and abandoning the game right before the first goal can be attributed to his style of constantly pressuring the referees. He was excellent at increasing the heat and raising team morals prior to the game, but he didn't know how to dial it down when was necessary.
