I am Persian. I used to rule the world. I will never be subservient to anyone.

I assume you're talking about Ghalenoie. Couldn't agree more, if he's indeed slated to take the helms. Don't mean to be cynical, but at this stage Queiroz would be the only sensible choice--provided he's willing to take the job and there's sufficient money--simply because of his level of expertese, experience, and familiarity with the team and the people running it. He has also successfuly acclimated to Iranian culture.
When Ghalenoei took over in 2007, he basically used the same blueprint left behind by Branko. He made sure he didn't rock the boat by keeping superstars like Karimi happy. Can't really blame him for that. But his tenure, apart from the unusual decision to replace the goalie with his reserve during the penalty shoot out (which backfired), was an uneventful one. On top of that, he has very little international experience, and it's not clear if he speaks any English. (I Believe in today's competitive environment, speaking English is a MUST.)
I'm not really sure if he'd be much improvement over Skocic, even though he might be able to establish better rapport with the players. Still, this selection, if it pans out, might be an indication that the federation is already throwing in the towel. If he does relatively well, he'll get an extension; otherwise, this decision will only reinforce the notion that Iranian coaches need more experience and training to be able to ply their trade at that level.
If Ghalenoie is selected, let's give him and the team unequivocal support. After all, our national team players have shown, time and again, that they play their best when their backs are against the wall. They truly have the character and wherewithal to surmount very difficult challenges. Let's not forget how they were written off prior to the games against the U.S. (1998), Argentina (2014), and Spain (2018). But they beat the odds. If there's a team that can shock the world, that would be Iran.
I remain hopeful.

Queiroz, who rarely responds to the Iranian media these days, announced to some of his associates in a private gathering without confirming or denying the contact from the Iranian Federation to negotiate with him, that the Iranian national football team has an official head coach and that he will not be on the bench with a team that has a head coach.
HE IS WILLING TO COACH IRAN.
