No self-respecting coach who cares about anything but a quick payout will want to get involved with such unprofessional football federation. I have wanted Skocic out for a while, and there was a way of doing that without causing a mess like this, but SM and IFF completely fucked up with their backroom deals and two faced behaviour.
I think the only there is even a 10% chance CQ takes this job is because he isn't exactly the most rational or mentally stable person out there, and also he might have a leftover feeling of not having finished what he started with Iran. Other than that I don't see why anyone would want to get involved in this mess.

On your 2nd point, However I do think we can still have a Vatani coach (Neko, Mahdavikia) who are as good if not better than Skocic.

There's no going back to Skocic at this point. Things are just too toxic. He isn't going to resign, so he needs to be let go and given his money. We are getting spanked at world at this point anyways, so it's best to just move on from this chapter as soon as possible.

Imagine this horrific scenario:

- Dragan Skocic remains the head coach and decides to leave out Mehdi Taremi out of the World Cup squad because of creating chaos... (Dear God..). Skocic would be an idiot if he leaves out Taremi, and it will most likely/definitely not happen. But just thinking about that type of a trap scenario is a thing of nightmares.

There is a gross misinterpretation and exaggeration of the comments made by Taremi and a few players who posted the same. How do CQ fanboys get the idea that they are against Skocic and for CQ?! Imo the comments are all about the government not doing its part in supporting TM and not the coaching staff. People are overrating vatani coach way too much, just because they didn't see them at TM since long time. Ugly and emotive behavior, will have a bias for their favorite IPL team, no international experience, short termists. Not even sure they have the technical capacity and the ability to support a national team pressure

Babak jan, CQ fans believe that any decent coach will get us to the round of 16 given the golden generation of players and our easy and doable group. So they are bringing back CQ to achieve this. It is fair to say that they did not consider all the consequences of their actions like broken locker room or no other respectable coach wanting to work for us for a long time.

Lets hope CQ can get us to the round of 16. I will always support whoever the coach of TM is when we are a few months from a major tournament.
