My word. Today is a good day. Congrats to all who campaigned for this day, we have endured a great deal of mental and physical pain and trauma but we did it. Someone go feed Kateb the finest Chenjeh known to man.

Islamic Republic News Agency: "The Islamic Republic News Agency, or IRNA, is the official news agency of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Founded on 13 November 1934 as Pars News Agency during the time of the Shah, it is government-funded and controlled under the Iranian Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance."

Guys, even if many of us were in favor of a better coach, let's still pay Dragan some respect for what he has done. He did the "impossible" and got our boys to the WC. A big thank you for that. Let's not celebrate his dismissal or degrade him. I wish him all the best for his future.

Even PFDC members would have been able to qualify for the World Cup with this Carlos Queiroz's players.

He did try to introduce his players and we all know how that went (*cough* Noorafkan *cough*).

This is a decision that will be regretted for years to come. Just like when Ivic was sacked after a 7-1 loss in a meaningless friendly match. But we are a nation of historical ungratefulness most evident in 1979.
Hope you all enjoy a world cup with Nekunam or Ghalemorghi or someother shity Iranian coach in charge!

No they wouldn't have. Show some respect for god sakes. Dude wasn't a high level caliber coach but worked hard and helped get us here otherwise we wouldn't have sniffed the world cup in the situation we were in. You seem to forget we had 3 hellish must win games in the desert of Manama to win against Iraq and Bahrain who Wilmots shit the bed against

It was right to advocate for CQ and do it intensely but some of you take it too far with the lack of class and perspective

Unfortunately, individual talent can only take you so far. It may work against Iraq or Bahrain, but not against South Korea or Algeria. At that stage, tactics are required.

Wilmots was a well-known charlatan as his track record proves that, not my fault IFF decided to sign a contract with him.

Actually not really. On paper he was a good coach, led Belgium at the highest level. The contract they signed was garbage. But on paper he should've swept through the first round easily. He didn't and Skocic did with no problems. The difference is pretty clear
