It looks like according to ISNA, Skocic has officially been sacked.

He took over at a very tumultuous time for Iran and successfully got us to the final round, and qualified us to the World Cup as 1st place in the group. He took over at a time when we were also broke, accepting one of the lowest salaries in Asia as a head coach for a major team - let alone in the world. We can comment on his flaws, but he deserves a lot of praise for getting to the point of even being able to discuss being in the World Cup. And he is certainly a honest and hard working person despite differences on tactics decisions and team management.

Wish him the best of luck in the future and wanted to thank him for all his efforts.

Seriously thank you, not easy in Iran if your name is not big, no matter what you do you will be in trouble, thats the culture. If Dragan was TM coach 8 years and reached exactly the same results CQ reached ( i mean exactly) he still would have been destroyed.
I am sure he will get a very well paid job in some middle eastern countries, at least i hope so , he deserves it because he is a good person.sadly tm seriously looks like a team which never played together before, thats the problem...
