I am no fan boy of Skocic and I made it known in other threads that I wanted him gone but we should acknowledge the fact that under his reign we had the smoothest qualification ever to a world cup. I don't know whether it was luck, the sheer talent on this team, his coaching or a combination of the three but I thank Skocic for his efforts and getting us to the world cup.

Having said this, it was very clear to me that he wasn't the man to lead team meli at the world cup. I wish him the best and now I am just hoping that his replacement is the great CQ.

I don't think that's true. There are still a noticeable group of fans, footballers, and people in the media who don't like CQ. He might be more popular that Skocic, but is by no means a universally liked figure in Iranian football.

I hope you don't feel too down about this. You have made your resume and you will be highly regarded for taking a team that was completely written off to the finals with the best results in their history. Everyone can see that. Also Everyone can see what a joke IFF is. So please don't be disheartened. We Iranians are not all the same. There are those of us who really appreciated what you have achieved and wanted you to be the head coach at the finals because simply you are the only one the very only one that deserved to be at the finals in Qatar.
