I just spoke to their sales manager in Tehran. Apparently they have had the kits ready for ages, the announcement is expected to take place at the end of this week. The design is apparently completely different to the previous kit. I told her that I bought the previous shirt on their website and the quality was horrible and the sizing was very strange. She said that the fan kit I bought is of much poorer quality than what the players will be wearing (it cost 10 usd) The jersey that the players will be wearing is priced at 3 million tomans which is A LOT for Iran standards (100 usd). I am going there tomorrow to try one on but I promised I wouldn't take any photos. I will describe it to you guys. The lady said that the fans will be really impressed, let's wait and see.

Thanks Salar jaan hopefully that’s true. The fact that they finally admit their kits were sh!t quality sounds somewhat promising about the new ones, I’m excited to see the new one.

indeed .... so far every damn real pictures of the kits ive seen from Merooj, the quality of the material and workmanship visibly looks poor AF..!(including the last batch of supposedly denied design ones ..!)

yet we must also stay mindful of the fact that the budget of the massive majority of their target customers (domestic fans) are just about that $10-20 max. and as the saying goes, "cheap things No good , good things No cheap.." they obviously have to take shortcuts in quality and worksmanship in order to generate profits from such measly amounts for their supposedly top attract product..!

Guys, the above photo seems to be the official kit up until Asian Cup. I went to their head office which is in Karimkhan. Thankfully, the quality is actually not bad at all. Nothing compared to what they were selling on their website, they have a few different grades starting from 300T (10 bucks) up to 3 mil (100 bucks), the one that sells for 1.5 mil doesn't feel too different to the ones the players will be wearing. I ordered a bunch and they told me 10 days so if any of you are in Iran you better order now.

If you don't want the beautiful flag of the great Islamic republic of Iran, you can cheer another nation. Remember that almost all of its 80 million people are in support of the current government. So do the players who wear this jersey. So if you want to have the sun on your chest you can safely cheer another team.
We don't need people who create division within the cheering and the team.

FYI if anybody is interested in cheaper, non-kits our very own legomahi (legofish) store for merch from the last world cup still sells some nice designs, website is called iranian apparel. Also good since there are no IR symbols on it.

I'm considering buying a tshirt or two.

I think its pretty standard in the world of football merchandise. There are always replica versions of different quality and then authentic (aka what the players wear, usually a bit tighter and ofc the best material).
