Ok, you are going around in circles now. I am giving my opinion about what the right decision is right now in the given situation. If he keeps Taremi, I feel that the bad feelings will flare up again when it is too late. You feel Skocic should keep him. No problem. we disagree, that's all. We don't have to agree all the time, do we?

It runs deeper than Taremi - the team captain and vice captains didn’t give their public support for Skocic last week either. As well as what accumulated to about half of the squad. There is no team unity whether Mehdi is in the squad or not.

We have different precedents...

Ireland manager dropped Roy Keane and even Irish prime minister could not get him back. Ireland went on to qualify for WC 2002 courtesy of Iran and made a decent showing being beaten in 2nd round by Spain in penalties.

France 2010 got crap results and exited WC ignominiously.

With this team and these preparations, most likely outcome is for us to exit first round. Taremi out in all likelihood means a definite exit.

It is too bad because for what it's worth, I believe we have the potential to beat Wales and USA.
Taremi out has one, and maybe one, possible benefit. It would shut the mouth of at least 2 generations of TM players.

Especially, because one half did not explicitly blame Skocic for anything, they just said that the other half should not put out a message and claim that is on behalf of the whole team. Skocic should be able to look the other way in their cases.

But Taremi has done so many offenses against Skocic that it has to be either Skocic or Taremi. I can't see them talking it out.

It’s not about looking the other way, he shouldn’t be hiding away from that issue. I put in the TM thread that his main objective now must be a demand that we have friendlies sorted out straight away for September and booked. He needs to carefully sort out this situation and make sure he keeps his star players in his squad.
It is very apparent that there are rifts in the squad, talk about players being given keys to the team bus to sleep with fans, players coming out and saying ‘let’s make do with Skocic as we are too close to change things this close to the World Cup’ (which shouldn’t give anyone the greatest confidence), worries over the training, issues with the friendlies, poor team selection at times etc .
Yet we are talking about what Mehdi said or did not say - there are bigger issues here and ye I’m annoyed because I love watching my country play football. The World Cup is the best tournament ever, we have players that can get us to the second round of the World Cup but the structures of a third World Country in football terms.
I want us to do well against England and Wales so I can get one over people that I grew up with. I have been waiting for over 25 years to watch us play England. I want Mehdi Taremi on that pitch for selfish reasons.

The way Taremi has gone about everything relating to Skocic has been flat out wrong…..even though I can understand and agree with overall opinions he has on Skocic. Doesn’t mean that you don’t have a responsibility to still carry yourself as a professional and not spew bs the way he has. He needs to be taught a lesson bc he clearly did not learn anything the first 25 times he has f**ked up

Take him to the tournament and leave his ass on the bench until he shows signs of growing up.

This can be handled differently. Closed door meeting players and staff as well as each player individually with Skocic. Iff bans all players from media and Skocic as well. Only press conferences pre and post match. Media is hugely responsible and opportunists are exploiting our boys. I don't think Ferdowsipour did anything wrong even Misaghi is just trying to sell headlines...sensational ones in the latter's case. Just end the fuel to the fire and set up a new culture.

We would have team unity had Taremi stayed crossed off the list when he got cut last year. Now it's a different story. Too many players have showed support to his movement. We need a new head coach to bring that unity back.

What bugs me the most is that he is such a mooshmordeh and cries like a little baby in SC arms and doesn't dare to utter a single word against his club manager SC even when he is belittled as so many times as we have all seen and fumed over it, but gets all uppity when it comes to calm and placid Skocic. Same with Jahanbakhsh who took so much shit from that potthead but never said a word in anger against him.
