We need to weed out every single man, woman and child who has taken the wrong side on this matter, rip up their passports and ship them off on the same flight as their Croatian overlord.

No individual is bigger than a team but Mehdi Taremi most certainly is bigger than whatever disgraceful thing Sgoh has been responsible for allowing to develop over the last 2 years. This is no team, there is no credibility to anything occuring in relation to it so if one of our greatest players wants to sling some goh in order to try and change things, you're damn right you'll support him fully in doing so.

We are not discussing whether Taremi was right or not to start a revolution. What we are discussing is if Skocic is going to be on the bench in WC, is it possible for him and Taremi to have a working relationship.

Yeah….I’m farrrrrr from being a skocicist and I believe there needs to be some form of punishment for Mehdi. I don’t understand how someone can call themselves a TM fan and then supports a player who has caused harm to TM at such a crucial time, on multiple occasions now.

You can literally make a list of the lies and wrong moves he has made…..

Lies:
1. Total BS/myth about “disrespect” to Iranian footballers from the Skocic interview last year. As I said before it is Skocic’s right the same way it was CQ’s right to comment on the strengths and weaknesses they observe in our football. It’s quite literally a part of their job description as a coach….to observe and say here’s what we do well and here’s where we need to work. Mehdi was 100% in the wrong on how he viewed that and then furthermore how he handled it was even more ridiculous and childish.

2. Let’s say that was “disrespectful” as he said it was…..he then lied on Adel’s show about “CQ would never say something like that” when CQ’s criticisms of our football levels is 2500x more than anything Skocic has ever said and is so well documented. He lied point blank and avoided answering the question instead of giving a direct answer to adel’s question. Yet another lie.

Causing drama:
1. The tweet reaction to the interview. He said he got “a Croatian coach” to translate for him (prob branko) to see if Skocic said what he thought he had said. Instead of going directly to Skocic and trying to hash it out with him….he goes to a third party. If he would have had the common sense to understand that you go to the person you have an issue with and have a direct conversation with them then that would avoid all the drama that came after it. There’s something terribly wrong with someone’s thought process if they cannot understand or comprehend the pros and cons vs having a direct convo with your coach vs tweeting non sense at your current coach.

2. Overall dissatisfaction with trainings, tactics, etc. now here’s one I fully agree with Mehdi on. But how he handled it is so, so stupid. Again same concept as above…..if he had direct talks with him and voiced his concerns with Skocic himself and say “here are some concerns I have” as a leader of the team…..I’m very sure skochee would take it seriously and it also would have come out during all the drama these last weeks as something that has happened…..but it hasn’t. What we know is that players are mumbling under their breath and not taking trainings so seriously and putting their heads down instead of trying to collaborate together as a team and unit and bring some kind of positive change and say “hey coach the boys got together and feel we have some concerns on x, y and z”

……my stance on Skocic has and always will be he is a crap coach who is clueless tactically and makes no attempt to fix the holes and make changes that are as clear as day for him to make. The guy is about to take us into a WC and have shoja go 1v1 with Harry Kane and Raheem sterling bc he has never once even attempted to implement any defensive shape at any point in our games and has not addressed any of the major holes defensively we have seen. I can and have written for days about his deficiencies as a coach……but what is also very clear about Skocic in addition to what I’ve already said is that he is a good man with good intentions who has did some good at a time we needed it (going into those last few games in a do or die situation) and therefore deserves much more respect than what the federation and Mehdi have shown him.

Again I want him out too….but the way in which this has gone down and the continuous BS Mehdi has spewed and is still spewing is disgusting to see “fans” condoning just bc your interest in eliminating Skocic is the same. I wish our fans had more common sense and could recognize their biases and hypocrisy and call it what it is with Mehdi which is that he is being straight up disrespectful and wrong about how he is handling all of this and needs to have some kind of punishment come his way. What that punishment should be is up for debate.

We need to as a society realize that we can grow and learn from mistakes. I remember at youth level if we lost a hockey game we would have team bag skates. In football our coach would make us do suicides for an hour. It didn't matter who fd up, we won as a team and lost as a team. Time to implement the basics.

Alot of what you guys shared is valid. But this is football. No one should be crucified for a mistake or belief. We don't want a culture of fear but rather a value system of one for all and all for one. It starts with us fans too. The cheers, support, the comments we make and posts we put out on social media need to reflect hambastegi! It's do or die time once again. COME TOGETHER! It's no longer Skocic in or Cq in...or anyone in. It's now TM for all!

Agreed on the sentiment. It is best t bring him into the fold if possible.

Taremi gives me the impression of being a tool of others. I have a feeling that others are pulling his strings. His career, except the Portuguese spell, are rife with mistakes that seemed to be the results of manipulation.

If he can learn and grow, yes, lets bring him in. But if he is going to continue to sow divisions and intrigue into TM, that is the last thing that is needed now. Enough damage has been done by incompetence of IFF and various players' interviews, including Taremi's.

It is also really really weird that he has taken an innocuous general statement by Skocic ((Iranian players bring tactically weak...which is kind of true) so personally that he feels he needs to dig it up at every opportunity to the detriment of TM.

Bottom line... He is freaking 30. Has played in a few different teams in a few countries. Needs to smarten up.....

I think Skocic not only will play Taremi but also thank him for basically dividing the team, taking any pressure/responsibility off of the IFF, coaching staff, and the players. As Taremi said "we will be bottom of the group". Really!. So Chill out guys. It will all be ok. Trust me.

By you writing this you miss the whole point, I just think you don’t understand your brain isn’t wired properly to understand so don’t worry just think what you want to think but idk about you , idk what universe you in, idk how you can say this Taremi and skocic are the same , which is absolutely not true , or even imply that skocic is actually qualified to be the coach , these are two false statements you are making, and basically not only have the majority of fan realized this but the majority of Team Melli players have as well , you think these players have a mental disease or sometimes to just start all this drama if Skocic was actually qualified and competent enough to be a leader and makes us better , I don’t think so ……..

Look even if you close the league give the Team Melli to skocic for 6 month straight give him 3 friendly games a month that is 12 games before the World Cup he still won’t be able to make this team better … that is the level we are dealing with , and the players that actually care have realized …

I never said Taremi and Skocic are the same. I said the way we are approaching them both is similar. Skocic out mirrors Taremi out. I also said we all want the best coach for TM but iff has chosen Skocic. We can do more good by supporting TM regardless of coach.

Also when did I even mention Skocic qualifications in the post you quoted? What were you actually reading???

I'm not sure what you read but your post seems like a personal attack more than a desire for discussion or contribution. To each his own.

And when did I say any player has a mental disease? My training would not allow me to diagnose a mental health disorder without a thorough assessment.
