Taremi highlighting the simple fact, which no one can deny, that he hasn't hunted money.

Took 1/10 of the salary at Rio Ave over al-gharafa's offer

    One TENTH

Even now after tax he earns the same as Ramin Rezaeian.

Karimi's skills are a "lot harder to replace than Taremi"

Taremi, one of the most unique hybrid players in the modern game.

I don't get pretending to be a TM fan and dumping on Taremi's attributes as a player (non-football issues aside for the moment).

The guy's been so crucial with his assists, goals and set piece winning for club and country. Most importantly, doing this consistently rather than showing just flashes of genius here and there. We wouldn't be where we are without him. What benefit is there in belittling his skills, and his achievements over the last few years ffs....
No doubt Taremi has been crucial for us not just this qualifiers but in 2018 as well. My point is not to belittle his skills or "dump on him". I am talking within the context of being cut for disciplinary reasons. I used Karimi as an example to say if he can be replaced so can Taremi. Karimi is the type pf player that comes along in a few generations that is not to belittle Taremi.

There is no benefit in cutting him but this guy has had it in for the head coach for a while now. they did a coup on Wilmots (admittedly) and he has been talking about CQ is this and is that and this coach is not since 2018! Sorry, but no one is that good to decide who is our coach. To get up and go see government people is absolutely "gostakh". You like it because he is doing everything he can to bring your CQ back to the helm but this type of behaviour has way more negatives than 3 point goals have a benefit.

Besides his gostakhness why I feel he should be cut is his siasat baazi and bad intentions vs TM coach. He knows they practiced at night until midnight due to the heat and that players will have the whole day to themselves until night time again yet he pretends as if mandatory breakfast in this situation is the same as regular situations. This type of character is beneath our TM and that is the bottom line even if you are Taremi. Also I know you have a very low view of Iranian football but Iran has at least a hundred Mehdi Taremis waiting for the opportunity to show themselves.

Taremi side-stepping the question about staying at Porto

in his body language he clearly wants to move somewhere else but is honest about his own age and sale value.

He said that he would like to move to EPL - shame Arsenal didn't put a bid in

I was reading an article the other day where they were saying ‘30 is the new 27’ and that players are peaking older now for various reasons.
What also will help Mehdi is that he didn’t play at a high level till he was older, he seems to be getting better the older he is. Reminds me of how Jamie Vardy was up until last season and even then he was playing good football just in less minutes on the pitch.

Love seeing those picture too of him with his mom too and from when he was younger.

Age is just a number. On an individual basis, it really doesn't mean much. The timing, height, and duration of the career peak for each athlete is clearly individualized (based on genes, lifestyle, conditioning, etc). Look at Pepe and Ibra.

god bless this kid. How can anybody watch and not love him. He brought more pride, respect, and honor to Iranian flag through sport than probably anybody has done for many many years.

Damesh garm and what an evolution. Sorry to those select few who cannot appreciate his greatness and cannot understand how critical he is to our TM.

Without taremi, there is no TM, certainly not at a world cup. Without taremi our team has zero playmaking and our other star player looks lost and confused. Without taremi we lose a defensive engine, penalty machine, and tremendous physical presence.

Also ferdosipour deserves a ton of credit. Guys show was very enjoyable to watch unlike most iranian productions, lovely quality, awesome idea to show and promote different part of Iran. You can see how much Mehdi as a professional respects him and feels comfortable with his knowledge of football (unlike that retard misaghi). Lovely touch to bring in his family too, specially his mom.

Another asset we must make the most of !

THIS! thank you for (once again) great post.

THIS should be the closure of this terrible thread.
Iran deserves better, TM deserves better.
