Karimi is and will always be a legend. His hair would flow one way, ball and body the other...oh sweet memories!

It's obvious that he offended a lot of people with his original post. Not talking about the aftermath of what the cleric said or what Ali said after or what others have said. His initial post was posted without thought and he's realised now that he's offended a lot of people and their beliefs. Hence, he's posted a new story just now clearing things up and saying that he meant something else in his original post.
He just needs to think properly before he posts next time as his initial post wasn't a political post or whatever, it was a post dismissing the beliefs of millions of people not just in Iran but worldwide, and he's cleared it up with his most recent story post saying he meant something else.

now i see what really went down..!!
love the guy, (still the best/most skilled iranian footballer ever in my view...! ) his heart is in the right place usually and often means well but he is way too emotional, self-righteous, nontheless, still rather politically/diplomatically naive and occasionally has this idiotic knee jerk reactions to complicated situation , which makes him come across as a complete dipstick (not so referring to the recent drama btw)
