"This is a totalitarian system whose presence people feel in their blood and in their flesh on a daily basis. And it’s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate people’s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh
Excellent decision to stay in EU. Excellent that also players on mid level skill wise stay. Especially defenders need that Euro experience to take home to Iran.
In many ways Fabregassss is the tool of divine providence. Mid level guy that can have bygger impact on Iran football than our absolute top dogs as these defenders upgrade much needed departments of the game.
I know many attack Ehsan when he play for Iran.
Here some bullet point:
He is always in top physical shape. That he play in Europe over time helps him keep the shape as well as living outside Iran as Footballer is easier. You live more as expected. Karim Ansarifard was same, he kept his career going longer because of living as Professional. Footballers in Iran have a short time at peak.
Its not a environment for a footballer.
Ehsan is not Marcelo. But he always plays OK. Of curse he dont win matches on his own, but you can always count on him to give a decent performance. And he have done that over many years.
With experience and good physical attributes he deliver well for us in Asian level.
He didnt actually assist the winning goal, the CM mantalos did with a lovely ball.
Regardless Ehsan played full game and seemingly had a good performance, AEK are now tied for first with panathinaikos, really close race for league title which also is the only CL spot in Greece.
AEK progress this year has been really impressive, huge improvement on previous season, obviously helped by their brand new, very modern stadium. Lot of momentum and excitement in their project now, longer Ehsan can stay apart of this the better.
Yeah greek league is weak but as we see with even an older guy many of us, myself included, thought was dead meat like Ehsan, there is still big value in playing for one of their top clubs. SKs star CM hwang is on olympiakos currently, AEK themselves are filled with international players with big experience, and european football plus regular fan/media pressure of big club is a serious asset that he and Karim before him were able to bring to TM in big moments. I remember ghayedi had legit interest from AEK, he definitely should have taken that instead of whatever he ended up doing. Hope they can pick up a few more (hopefully younger) guys...Omri, Fallah, Khodabandelou types.
So proud of Ehsan tbh. During the World Cup, I met a couple of die hard AEK fans in Doha and they all disliked Ehsan, said he's wayyy too slow and makes too many mistakes, they all rated Milad highly though but said he needs to learn how to cross. Fast forward a few months, Milad getting trash minutes and Ehsan becomes one of their most consistent performers at the age of 33. Good for him.
چو ایران نباشد تن من مباد We thank and support Mr.Kamran Delan for many years of dedication and service to Iranian Football Community.
