I have a strong feeling that somehow he will still be starting at age 36 in the next world cup, even despite recently appearing to be dropped...

Love that prediction or hate it, but can't argue with him playing 90 minutes for Greece's strongest team and considered one of the most consistent footballers in the greek league

Just cause he plays on Greece strongest team does not , make him the suddenly the fasts player on the field , Haji is a good player , with really slow speed, which makes it hard cause we already have a slow back line in the TM …. In Greece he ain’t facing super high caliber forwards ever single game … so it won’t show ..

Greek league is not any better than Irans league. The lower teams are dreadful. On good days, Sepahan, Persepolis, Esteghlal can take AEK, PAOK, Olympiacos. They are less difficult than playing Al Ahli, Al Nasr etc now

                      Prepare to be stormed

I've said this before. Difference with Greece and Iran is all off the field stuff. Their stadiums, TV production, ... all much better than Iran, but their football is atrocious right now. Some of the slowest football still despite the rest of the world moving from that.

                        Probably because Moharrami is injured

I used to kind of think this was true but at this point I think we say this as coping mechanism. Greek teams performing very well in Europe this season. Their football is actually having a bit of a revival with quite a few good young talents coming through as well.

First of all we saw with our own eyes in quite a difficult EL group that AEK can hold their own. No Iranian team would have performed at that level vs the likes of Brighton and Ajax. They came up short bc of awful finishing but their overall play was impressive. Almeyda their coach is getting a lot of interest from top 5 leagues, apparently he was close to Lazio job after sarri left a few weeks ago.

PAOK demolished dinamo Zagreb 5-1 in conference league second leg. In the group stages they beat eintracht Frankfurt 2-1 home and away.

Olympiacos with an impressive 6-1 win away from home in isnotreal to see off maccabi, also beat west ham in the group stages.

Panathinaikos beat marseille to get thru the group stage of EL where they subsequently beat Villarreal as well before eventually coming up short to advance from difficult group that also included braga and Rennes.

all of this is corroborated in the league table, where the big 4 are only separated by a few points while 5th place Aris, Karims new team is like 10 points behind 4th.

The top 4 Greek teams are really quite good and I would be more than happy if we could get more guys there. Includes like of ghayedi, nour, saeid and younger guys like hazbavi, yousefi, hosseinNejad even. The rest of the league after Aris is around Pgpl level

I remember beiro mocking PP training lack of professionalism compared to belgium. I am not behind the stage in any clubs but I am sure greek league, specially top teams are ahead of IPL in terms of professionalism and nazm.
IPL illusion come from the talent we have here and there plus some quality foreigners (coach or players)

the last time i watched a greek league team in action was back in Karim's kos era ..! and yea was not impressed at all and saw it on par with pgl as well..!!
not sure if league action speed n quality has improved since..? apparently so..

                              ps
honestly even now, so long in good fitness, i'd still take Ehsan over MilMo any day as our LWB..!! the only thing MilMo got on him is Pace n bit more defensive abilities..!!
we are really in desperate need of rejuvenation and quality replacements on the LWB position ... As Always i suppose..? :/
