    skocic
went to watch peykan vs nassaji.

skocic in my opinion would make
a great pgl coach...he is work horse
which is great for club football.
with tm nhis resume he easily can land
pp,ss,sepahan,tt,foolad job all the big boys.

You mean we shouldn't do to CQ what we some are proposing we should do to Skocic?

For those doubting that Taj will bring CQ back. Do you really think it is actually Taj who is bringing CQ back? no sir, it is beyond Taj who is bringing CQ back. Not only beyond Taj, is it beyond beyond Taj who is bringing CQ back. Do you really believe that Iran's president Raisi will go to Portugal and grab CQ's hands and say: mr coach come with me to Iran (with heavy Persian accent)? Haven't you guys heard the news that some of TM players actually were complaining about the TM situation with the Sports Minister and the Iran's President? It was after this where suddenly and out of nowhere Taj announced that he is participating in the elections and it was so damn obvious he will win it.

We need to look above and beyond of things and connect the dots here and there to really understand the bigger picture and to understand what's going on and what will happen.

i could totally see iran picking up 3 yellow cards in first 20 minutes on cq order to go for them legs.
and you know tm dose that it will scare the hell of these high price players risking injury .
thats kind of game cq will play he cares about
THAT LITTLE IMPORTANT THING CALLED SCOREBOARD.
Don’t think that wouldn’t be very wise as there is a high risk of getting red carded. Also that tactic will just pump them up even more and not scare them at all. They are used to rough play in the EPL. We should play on our strengths and exploit any tactical weakness they have, no one at that level will get frightened with rough play, they will probably use it to draw red cards for TM players.

If you are not able to connect the dots, it is not my problem, although I have mentioned who is bringing CQ back

Not sure if anyone here is truly "in the know" about the IFF or just speculating but I appreciate the new head has run on the basis of bringing CQ back but have they actually had talks? It reminds me of the political circus that is the Barcelona presidency, when Laporta ran on a ticket of keeping Messi at the club and failed because the club are basically bankrupt.

Without a concrete pre-contract negotiation with CQ, this all seems a bit pie in the sky. You cant fire Skocic then open talks with such little time before the WC. CQ would have far too much leverage not just on salary... if he were smart he'd demand the season pause early so that he can take IPL players into a camp for extra preparation. Aside from have just a short space of time with the squad, this isn't his first rodeo, he knows how often TM "confirmed" friendlies get "cancelled".

I do think we stand a better chance at performing half decent at the World Cup with a CQ on a bloated contract and little or no prep than we do playing Skocic-ball, which has all the hallmarks of playtime at my primary school when the teacher would let a crowd of us kick a ball around aimlessly using jumpers for goalposts.

How is he going to find players fit enough to invite to his long camp if he is going to pause the pgl?

Same way the South Korean national team took 5 months out before World Cup 2002. They ended up doing pretty well out of that tournament.

The difference between a top club side and a top national team is the amount of time they spend together, training and playing games. Physical fitness can be achieved with the right regiment. Match fitness can be achieved by arranging friendlies beyond the Senegal and Uruguay games.

There's definite value in setting up a TM camp for 2 months for all PGL players and those in the Qatari league, as they shut down in a couple of weeks for the same reason. If they work together with the Qatari FA, there are plenty of footballing outfits they can get a game against. Pre season friendly for an A League team (their league doesn't start until October), post season game for an MLS team (season ends 2nd week of October)

I'm not really advocating for it, but I see it's benefit if done right and the games can be arranged. I suspect CQ will want more time with his players than relying on them to be fit from PGL games, two TM friendlies, if he's even in post at that time.

Not questioning the idea just saying how is CQ who has been away from Iranian football for 2 years is
going to pick players that are good enough for TM if he is pausing the PGL, which he has to do immediately
he is appointed as he has just a few weeks.

I'm sure for these players specifically, he'll use the help of some others who are more familiar, and then he'll assess during the camps etc.

He knows our legionairres well, who will occupy most of our starting lineup spots anyway.

There's no better coach for us when it comes to the COMBINATION OF: familiarity with our players and setting up a proper defense that will give us a chance in the world cup.
