The longer he delays, the harder for CQ to make an impact on the team. The whole point of bringing him is to have a decent shot of advancing from the group, otherwise why bother.

It is quite hilarious how so many here and surprisingly some
who seem quite intelligent never asked about what CQ's terms for accepting
any offers from IFF and whether these terms would be acceptable
or even possible to meet by the IFF.
Everyone just assumed (based on some conmen claims) that
CQ had just left the family home sulking like a kid but is now
remorseful and regretful and wants to come back
and Taj is the man who is going to talk to him and
BRING HIM BACK.

I’ve seen a few people complaining that CQ wouldn’t be able to do anything with our current “weak” overall team. Saying our midfielders, defense, goalie, etc. are all weak at the moment, so what’s the point. Anyone who thinks with this defeatist attitude, I think you’ve become jaded by 3 years of steadily declining TM. CQ’s system masked these players’ deficiencies. There’s not a question of why Moharrami, kanaani, Mohammadi, Ezatollahi, etc. are all “worse” and declined since 2019. CQ could swap any of his guys out and often did, even in big games (I.e. Cheshmi against Morocco, random defenders like Sadeghi and Beikzadeh playing for him) and he made our team still seem strong defensively. Those guys were trash and CQ got something out of them, Skocic inherited our strongest TM generation in decades and now the complaint is the players aren’t good enough?
There’s a common denominator here. CQ made these guys look good, they got picked up by European teams and honestly most are not at that level. They looked good in TM’s system and honestly CQ fooled a lot of people with getting the best out of inconsistent and average players. These guys weren’t world class and became nothing. They played in a world class system and now that they aren’t, they look like average Iranian players from 1993. That’s what they are, our situation hasn’t changed much at all since that time in any realm of life. We just had a few years with a talented coach that gave us a big head. We are Iran, but played to a more professional standard. That’s the outlier, Skocic is our standard. Anyone who disagrees with this logic, I don’t know what to tell them.
I’m visiting England right now, and anyone who I say I’m Iranian to tells me they’re worried about playing us. They saw what we did in 2014 and 2018 and they are nervous. I want to feel proud, but I know the truth that we’re no longer that team. Far from it.
