its a tough world, also happens to us regular people when u dont perform well enough at your job, he's had more than 2 years. and no, winning against syria and iraq does not count as well performance. that'll get him slaughtered in the world cup...

Best winning percentage of any TM coach. Only 2 losses. Imagine being fired for 2 mistakes at your job that didn't change the outcome of the goal...wow! In this case his losses didn't impact qualification. Let's call a spade a spade. Whoever the coach is we must support him or her...hope if it's CQ he gets treated better than Skocic but I expect one of 2 things:

Fans turn on him after potential set backs or they create excuses such as it wasn't his team or he didn't have good prep, or enough time. All things right now we say won't matter cause it's CQ and he knows this team...

Did the players from 2018 World Cup cease to exist? Pretty sure the vast majority of our players from 2018 are still active and available. I don’t get this line of reasoning of there being issues with this squad. The players looked good under CQ. He fooled you with the Milad Mohammadis into thinking they were extraordinary. They weren’t, CQ got the best out of some average players to look above average. Skocic’s system let’s these guys sink or swim, and unfortunately our talent pool is average outside of the handful of standouts we have. If you don’t see this and you really think all these guys just simultaneously decided to nosedive after CQ left is pretty funny. 2-3, maybe 5 players getting worse you could point to bad luck and say this is a weaker team melli. Basically all of the midfield and defense + goalie going into the crapper after CQ left should tell you something. Loss of tactics and loss of confidence overall since CQ left.

Thank the lord we were in an easy group, if we had Australia and Saudi in our group we wouldn’t have qualified with Skocic, guaranteed.
