I am not an expert in labor law, but if I'm not mistaking, the anti-tampering law you quote above only applies to coaches under contract.

So, if CQ was still under contract with the Egyptian football federation, IFF would not be allowed to approach him, because you would be tampering with his current employee.

For the record, there is still no official statement from IFF

Taj has confirmed that they are looking at CQ. This now makes Skocics position more untenable. For me, he is gone. Whether we will get CQ is another story.

I believe Fifa has a statute that suggests you cannot negotiate with a new coach while employing another. CQ in past was quoted on this forum as saying he would not negotiate with a federation actively employing a coach.

If his contract is $200K a year and there’s either compensation written in the contract or separation is mutually amicable based on
