Based on Estili’s interview it seems Skocic and his team know their time is up.
Unfortunately no one in IFF has communicated this to them as a professional should.

According to 360 they told Skocic in a meeting today that he has to go .... there are rumours of him taking over Foolad Khuzestan since Nekounam is said to be one of CQ assistants

That is definitely par for the IFF course. Skocic probably found out from social media that he was fired.

They didn't renew his contract, and he didn't want to commit to something that the IFF didn't seem interested in.

Of course he is. But it is also very very clear that he is sitting tight
and won't go sulking because half of the team have spoken out
against him and there is a new idiot in charge of IFF who has
publicly announced that he will bring CQ back.
No he is getting very good legal advice.
Only the likes of Taj and his goons don't get it.
He is not going to mutually agree to step down.
He will most likely wait until he is sacked.
Then he gets the case rolling.
He will most likely argue about his hard work to qualify TM to
the world cup where he would hugely improve his resume
which would mean he would get incredible offers that he has now lost due to being
                        unfairly dismissed.
HE HAS A VERY GOOD PROSPECT OF SUCCEEDING IN PROCEEDINGS AGAINST IFF
With all due respect, you don’t know what you’re talking about. You’re holding your opinion (let’s be honest that you’re a CQ hater and biased), as fact. Skocic could try to sue, anything’s possible, but are you forgetting why this whole “replace Skocic” movement started? We lost to Algeria’s B team in horrible fashion. We haven’t defeated any World Cup caliber team during his reign. Is this not cause? Again, I don’t think you know what you’re talking about. He beat teams in an easy group that we should be beating and were all extremely weak. Korea had little trouble in the group, unlike the previous cycles where we made their lives hell. Anyone who thinks we were the best team in our qualifying group needs to get a cat scan. We survived against Lebanon, we drew and lost to Korea (lost very badly), we lost to Algeria without any of their stars and played horrific ugly football. We’ve been playing ugly, clumsy and disorganized football since Skocic took the helm. It was as if our back line and goalies were all mirzapour. We can’t handle a simple press from an opponent and make foolish errors. Should I continue the list? Or do you get the picture? You’re a hater, we get it. We wish you success in your griping about CQ returning. We’ll be rejoicing as we’ve been suffering with a poor tactic-less manager(s) since CQ left.

I remember when I had absolutely no worries playing most teams like Korea, Algeria, etc. since often the other teams would barely get a shot on target. Now, we have defenders passing to opposing strikers, goalies under pressure making major errors, it’s a sh*tshow. How you cannot see this disorganization should make you look in the mirror and ask yourself why you’re being a hater for no logical reason. We park the bus with CQ, at least that’s a tactic! Explain to me Skocic’s tactics, I’ll wait until I’m a dusty skeleton in the year 2156 and you’ll never be able to explain it because there was no tactic. How in the world could you want that over CQ other than you don’t like CQ personally or enjoy mediocrity.

Exactly, CQs return is a relief for me as it avoids us getting embarrassed at the WC. Getting beyond the 1st round will be a bonus. With the way we were playing under skocic we would be easy beats & look like real amateurs at the world stage…it’s a real relief for me.

Yup and 2 of those losses from teams CQ beat on a regular basis, one of them (SK) he totally and completely owned. Beating minnows in WCQs in one of, if not our easiest WCQ group of all time and losing twice and drawing once with a WC level opponent should not be rewarded with taking this team to the WC. I appreciate Skocic for getting us out of the mess we were in but my gratitude starts and ends there….it’s time for him to go (actually it was time a while back).

I don’t understand how people can point to Skocic’s winning percentage as an indicator of him being a good coach for TM. All his wins are against weak opponents. And even those wins usually came with difficulty and only really thanks to a moment of brilliance from Mehdi or someone else. Skocic’s tactics (or lack thereof) have pretty much never actually led to a real good performance from TM. He’s scraped by with luck from having a roster that is head and shoulders above all the opponents we’ve beaten. When we’ve faced actual solid teams, we’ve seen the reality of how poor Skocic is as a coach
