I don’t understand how people can point to Skocic’s winning percentage as an indicator of him being a good coach for TM. All his wins are against weak opponents. And even those wins usually came with difficulty and only really thanks to a moment of brilliance from Mehdi or someone else. Skocic’s tactics (or lack thereof) have pretty much never actually led to a real good performance from TM. He’s scraped by with luck from having a roster that is head and shoulders above all the opponents we’ve beaten. When we’ve faced actual solid teams, we’ve seen the reality of how poor Skocic is as a coach

Results oriented vs image oriented. One set look at winning while another is happy holding Argentina to 0-0 for 90 min even if we end up losing to minnows or other do or die games like Asian Cup. I guess we may never know how Skocic will perform in those do or die critical matches since he qualified us with ease.

I have just revisited IRNA website and there is no news of CQ in Tehran. They do refer to the "rumour" of discussions with CQ.

At least we have given ourselves a chance now and that's a relief.
It should however have happened much earlier, and the Skocic fanboys have done much harm to our beloved TM by delaying CQ arrival.
