I think CQ was a good thing happening for our team in the past showing us the value of discipline, team work, and good defending. He had his own short coming of being ultra defensive and killing creativity to keep muscle power. Despite his positive qualities I don't think he can help us at this time. It is simply too late. Don't expect miracles and enjoy the games.

I don't CQ will make any difference for the WC (Asian cup a different story). There simply isn't enough time between now and WC. God could have been appointed as the coach, and I would still say the same thing.

Would love to be proven wrong though.

CQ knows Iran, no time is needed, he was away for 2-3 years, so what?

With all the scenario considering the circumstances, it is not only the most logical but probably the best professional decision we could have made , time wise I think it should happened in may , so we could have more time , but it is what it is now ..

I have a feeling with CQ, 3rd is the charm!!

He worked hard and diligent for Iran and kind of put us on the football map where no other coach has ever done before!

In World Cup, we scared the hell out of Argentina, tied Spain but was unfairly ruled out , and almost won against Portugal. We were so close to be above Spain and Portugal in our group. The world talked about us and they talked all positive.

He was unlucky in both Asian Cups, losing the game to Iraq and Japan because of unprofessional player behaviour. He could have easily won both Asian Cups.
