I was wondering if this was a rhetorical question. If not, it's really premature to say whether or not one is truly happy with Queiroz' return. As for Azizi, I must say a great player but, beyond that, nothing else. He exemplfies the negativity and naysaying deeply embedded in our culture. We need to focus on the positive. Firing and rehiring the previous coach was a big blunder;dwelling on the negative, especially on divisive actions or comments by people by Azizi, may further compound the problem.

Undeniably, with the team having been in a somewhat precarious position, there's something very positive about having someone like Queiroz at the helm. And the vast majority of Iranian youths know that. That is why they trust him and have always received him with open arms. At this juncture, for obvious reasons, Queiroz is practically the only person who can make something good happen. He may not be able to perform magic, but he, and our valient and highly talented players, are our only hope.

As for people like Azizi (whom I believe to a be an Iranian sports icon), they need to put all the envy and animosity behind and rally around their country and their team. They owe at least that much to the long-suffering people of Iran.
